I usually get the towels more like smooth cotton. These work well and can be used the same tasks. Only thing is that they shed more than the others do.

I bought these as I moved into a new home after losing my former kitchen textiles to mice while in storage. I've scrubbed, wiped, used cleaning sprays and bleach in my kitchen area with them and they are holding up well. They seem to wash up nicely and don't look terrible after a few washes. Half of the bar mop rags have been my primary scrubbing and wiping tool as I clean up the kitchen to my rather high standard of cleanliness from up high on cabinets, to counter, to where the floor and cabinet bottoms meet. The other half function well in cleaning up spills and maintaining the clean state of affairs. They are plain, but do what they are intended to do and maybe a bit beyond. If you value a soft and cozy feel, move on in your search because these are utilitarian. They are made to work hard and not for pampering. Would likely purchase again if they continue to hold up as I use them regularly since you can't beat less than a dollar each.
