this is a really nice cute doormat, however, it is not as thick as some of the others. so while it is a little bit cheaper than muddy mat there are some others that are a little more expensive that are thicker. this will do the job but make sure and take measurements for the size that you want.

Everyone loves this rug, including the dog and cat
Really like that it's non slip, it's a great soft texture, absorbent, washable, doesn't seem to attract a lot of pet hair. Dog and cat both think it's a new bed for them and love it, so would be great for your older dog so doesn't have to lie on hard floor. Would have given 5 stars but haven't washed it yet to see how it holds up.
