The texture, leaves hair shining, light

It was more like a glue than a gel but it works just fine

its great for thin curly hair not thick or coarse hair.

I have 3b/3c mixed curly hair and I have been looking for a good hold for my fly always and baby hairs when I wear my hair up. I sampled this product and a similar conditioning/regular hold from Shine Jam. I think I might actually try the other brand when this one runs out because it seemed to hold down my hair better. Dont let this stop you if you have type 4 hair! My type 4 friends love this product and I have seen nice results with them. Lets Jam! Extra Hold Pros: - no flakes or residue even after breaking in after several hours - hair was left super soft unlike most gels that make hair dry - kept most of hair in place but not baby hairs -kept curl pattern in tact when used in light amounts on my ponytail Cons: - curls when combed back were not slick but wavy and became more wavy throughout the day - could not style baby hairs against hairline as they just popped up and spiraled
