SoHo Brick Journal, Black 5.5"x5.5" (150 GSM, 80 Pages Each)

Best sketchbook I have ever used. Love the size, the paper weight and the feel of the surface. 10/10 would recommend. I just started on my second book - first is completely full and pages do not wrinkle or tear.

I really love the open flat binding. I use colored pencil and acrylic markers on the toned paper. Pops off the page.

Seriously fantastic for anyone who has blank page fear! I did for so long with a white page, but I got the black and it really changed my drawing productivity. Plus, Posca pens look FAB on the pages and they don't bleed through at all!!!! I will keep buying these as long as they make them!

I love the thick paper and flat open binding

I bought the little square 5.5" x 5.5". I am using this as a doodle/art journal with my shimmery gouache paint and metallic/neon gel pens. It has nice binding and an elastic to close it (keeps any loose papers safely). When I finish this, I will probably buy a bigger one next!!

This was exactly what I expected! The paper is actually better than I expected!

This sketchbook is most def worth the price, it arrived early for me and I love the way my pencil feels on the paper!

The paper is good if you mostly stick with markers, pens, and thicker paint mediums like acrylic and gouache. It handles watercolor ok-ish; warping is present, but it can take a couple of light layers. The ribbon is a nice touch. It does not handle graphite well. The graphite smudges, the texture can't hold it, and it transfers to the other side if not laid down by fixative. The texture is also off; is similar to cold-press watercolor sketchbooks, but the cheaper kind(think Arteza, Kingart, U.S. Art Supply type). Colored pencil is ok, too, but not as bright as on other types of paper. The size is also weird, with it being simultaneously too long, but not wide enough to get in a decent sketch on just one page. The binding is also fragile and will start giving way 50% of the sketchbook. Be sure to tape the exposed spine. Overall, decent price for a mixed media sketchbook. I'd suggest just buying the single pack and trying it out before committing to two.

The binding split and ripped upon opening the first time, as did the cover- not super impressed, at all. If you want a strong binding in a sketch book, don't get this one.
