rather tasty and inexpensive calamari
calamari is hard to find and this is pretty much straight calamari without other spices--taste is mild but to me appealing you may or not care for it.

Ingredients changed, now contains bits of shell
I was so glad to see this back in stock but I could tell something was very different. Instead of just calamari listed as the only ingredient besides the broth components as it was before now there is also something called "Abalone Type Shellfish". The taste is about the same but the texture is different (like processed) and there are tiny bits of oyster-like shell that are startling to bite into. This was something I really like, now I'm concerned about damaging a tooth on it.

Dented cans
Sol-Mex imitation abalone isn't that bad. It's made from calamaria and taste pretty good. The brine is a bit salty, and if anything you might want to rinse the calamaria before eating it. Feels like there are sand in there, just a little bit not much. I could be wrong. Although it tastes good the shipping is horrible. All the cans came in dented, 2 of them were dented really bad where it folded. Good thing there were no leaks. The shipper should do a better job next time.

Rubbery texture but decent taste
The texture is a bit harder than other products Ive tasted. Also they delivered 6 very dented cans, they couldve packaged it better.

not what it used to be very disappointed
I bought several in the past and they were whiter in color and better taste and texture now they are brown and color not great on the taste and feel old not really sure how to describe it but definitely not what they were

NO DENTED CANS!
Why would they only package some cans in protective wrapping yet leave others loose so it can STILL cause the cans to bang around and dent? I've yet to try them. This is about poor shipping not any product deficiencies! Then they want someone to go through a return process over a problem they created themselves for one dented can…. Very poorly packed!
