Solar 4XS Plus 245/45R18 Tire

I love to save money and I don't care if it says Goodyear or Bridgestone on the side of my tire. This was by far the best price on a quality tire I found anywhere. I researched the tire and found all the ratings to be superior with A ratings for speed, wet traction, and wear. The tire looks good on my Lexus ES350, it rides smooth, and handles great. All in tire price with warranty, balance, rotation, tax was about $100 a tire. NICE!

I have only had these on my Wife's 2011 Elantra for about 3 weeks, She computes right at 100miles a day on the Interstate, 5 days a week. These tires are so much smoother on the roads and Hardly no road noise. The look sporty also on her car. Price was great at $49 a tire. She goes through tires often due to mileage she drives. I have been buying the high mile warranty tires and have found the don't last long either. So I bought these to try out at this price its half what I was paying for the other tires. So what the Heck I can by 2 sets of these. I have already recommended them to a friend for his car. The local Wal-Mart got these in in just a few days and mounted and balance them for all for $36 dollars Cant beat that. So far so good.

I was waiting to review these tires and now I have 10k on them so here I go. First off to be honest I drive fast, but I don't endanger other drivers. The first day they installed them I was on my way to work in a snow storm. These tires handled great, actually better than I expected. Since then there has been icestorms, snowstorms, thunderstorms and down pours so heavy traffic nearly stopped. These tires are exceptional in any weather condition. They are one of the best all season tires I have ever purchased and I have purchased a lot of tires over the past 35 years. What I would caution drivers about is that these are NOT high performance tires. If you take turns exceptionally fast like twice the speed you will feel more movement in your vehicle. These tires are also very quiet, I have no road noise from them. All said and done, these are the best tire for the money if your looking for exceptional traction. Since being installed on my work car in 10k miles there is NO tire ware. I have also installed these Solar 4XS on our family car and my daughter's car. If your looking for great all season traction these are the best bang for your buck. Hope this review was helpful !!

These tires arrived quickly, and were a great deal at $52.00. They perform quite well on my car, very good grip in turns, quiet running, an all around good tire for the money. The only downside is that I could only afford a pair at the time, and the price has now gone up to $65.00. Other than that, I would highly recommend them.

I bought 5 of these tires (a pair first, then 3 more). They have excellent rating for handling and low temperature operation and the tread design is great for channeling water out of tread to minimize "hydroplaning". I do a lot of driving ( have put over 200K miles on 4 vehicles, and over 500K on 1) so I appreciate good handling tires. They have 5 plies on tread (most tires have 4), and 2 on sidewall (many have only 1). I have already driven these tires in heavy rains and at 70mph Interstate speeds.

These tires are quite and smooth right up to and beyond any legal speed limit. I put them on a 1990 Miata and the road noise is almost zero, this is really saying something for a Miata with almost zero sound deadening. One size bigger seems to be a very good decision.

Although it is too early to assess wear characteristics of these tires having driven only 1000 miles, my initial observations are very positive. They run very smoothly and quietly on highway and at lower speeds. Fuel economy on my vehicle is better on these Solars than any previous tires that have been run on subject vehicle. Handling may be slightly less crisp although it is possible that some of that feel is due to full tread depth squirm vs the well worn tires that they replaced. Overall impression to date is that these tires were a good value.

I only plan to keep my car one more year and needed a tires to pass inspection and with an all season tread that would be good for Vermont winters. The tread pattern is almost identical to the Goodyear All Seasons I have on my wife's car but has 2 more belts on the tread. I was impressed with the 'heft' of the amount of rubber and tread depth .... much heavier than the Uniroyal they are replacing, and quieter than the Firestone winter treads I had on my '03 Matrix, with 209K miles. There is a bit of a 'hum' at higher speeds, but not bad as far as I'm concerned. I checked them out against the inexpensive Douglas tire Wal-Mart sells and fell the more aggressive tread design is a better chose for me (and is most likely the cause of the high speed hum). The fact that they are inexpensive was what first got my attention but I'm impressed with what I see so far .... TIME will tell.

We have several cars + tried these Solar 4xs for about 2 yrs on a couple other cars. They preform great in the rain + are good on icy/ snowy conditions in MidWestern states because of their unique tread pattern. Definitely not the 'best' tire you can purchase; However, better tires are 2x the cost!! Great all around tire for a budget price!

Walmart put an ad up for a bundle of 2 tires. So I ordered 2 bundles. I confirmed with their ai I would get 4 tires. Confirmed with customer service I would get 4. Yea don't fall for it. I got 2 tires. Once you pay the wording changes to a single tire and that only happens once you pay. Just don't do it. I returned them. Ad is still up……… why would I keep non name brand tires when I could get name brand better quality for a few dollars more…… just run away
