We were so impressed at the amount of light this gives off. It really looks like a solid well built light. No need to run electricity and find a light for night time illumination.
I have a 20 ft flag pole with 3 x 5 flag and this light is great for displaying at night. It also lights up the base nicely for a unique look. Very easy to install.
Works great! Instructions are to allow 3 full days of sun for best light. We installed ours late afternoon & had good light that night. After a week, it's still shining bright at 4:40 in the morning.
I put it on my flag pole early in the afternoon and it was shining brightly when the sun went down. It has been up for a few days now and, although it does not last ALL night, it works the majority of the night. leaving only a very short period of darkness prior to the sun coming up.
This is 2nd purchase of this item and I intend to purchase one more for a gift (as was this one). Works well lighting up 2 flags and provides sufficient light all night long. Found that there can be issues with the length of the truk on some poles not being long enough. We remedied this on the pole from Harbor Freight by drilling out the retaining pin on the plastic spacer, holding the top half of the truck till it began to snug up and everything was fine. You might need to check your truks length and opt to replace it before installing.
Just had it for a few weeks but so far so good. I live at edge of town and no street lights, so this kinda doubles as a dim street light. Installed on 20ft. pole and of course last longer and light is brighter when batteries have chance to recharge on sunny days, but even on cloudy days still works but by 6AM is very dim. Also like the fact that at night it lights up an area about 20ft diameter on ground, but not so bright as to interfere when out viewing with Telescope at planets at night. It does ad some wind drag on windy days since it sits right on top of pole and catches wind, but so far happy with light and how long it stays lit during the night. Just hope the product lasts for a long time..
I EXPECTED IT TO HOLD A CHARGE FOR LONGER THAN A FEW HOURS. FROM WHAT I HAD READ, I WAS EXPECTING IT TO LIGHT UP MY FLAG FOR ALL NIGHT, BUT I HAVE CHECKED IT AROUND ONE OR TWO IN THE MORNING AND WAS DISAPOINTED, COULD HARDLY SEE THE LIGHT. I DON'T KNOW IF I GOT ONE WITH BAD BATTERIES OR WHAT, I WILL GIVE IT MORE TIME TO CHARGE, THEN RE-EVALUATE IT.
The advertising shows the light fixture atop a large flag pole. I have it on top of a 22' pole with a 4'x6' flag. It lights the top couple feet and falls rapidly to no light further down a resting flag. Better than nothing. I think I will get a lawn mounted solar spot to light the bottom half of the flag and then probably both in combination will be OK.
The light only lasts a couple of hours. This is the second light I've had. The first one only lasted a couple of months and then didn't work again. I talked to someone at Annin and was told to mail it in. I did and never heard from them again. I lost the persons info. so I could not contact them. I was hoping this light would work. I guess I was mistaken.
This solar light produces very little light it's like I mounted a tiny little nightlight to the pole The light barely illuminates the top of the flag. I will be returning this for a refund
