Our main door is off to the side of the main part of the house. Sun does hit it from 12-5. However, after that time it's a darkened area. These lights do light up the area of where you take each step. It holds enough charge to shine most dark time we want to illuminate. It is not blinding like a spotlight we had hoped would work. Small and powerful.

Perfect solar step and raised garden lighting. Did not use the supplied hardware for installation but use 3m exterior Velcro to have access to charge on later dates.

Solar lights are bright and remain lit - even with our cloudy Pacific NW days. Some are located on a wall next to the deck and others on step risers. Both work equally well.

These handy step lights are a clever and handsome addition to our front porch steps. Now we do not worry about visiters tripping on the steps in the dark.

These were the perfect solution for our normally darkened front steps. No more issues with finding the steps when coming home after dark!

I have ordered the step lights before. They are perfect for my front yard steps and last a year or longer.

I have used these for perhaps 8 yrs now, this is the 3rd set. They work well for around 3-4 years. Some have failed because I accidentally kicked them as I used the stairs on my deck, but I would attribute that to "customer failure" not "equipment failure". Like other posters previous, I have had 1 or 2 not work or stay charged and the on/off button can be touchy/fail. Overall, quite satisfied, they provide good illumination with 6 hours of sunlight.

Solar step lights were easy to install and work exceedingly well. We had previously purchased cheap solar lamps from a big box store but were never happy with them. While these lights were a bit more expensive, in solar technology, it is obvious you get what you pay for. Installation took no time at all and the light from these lights adequately lights my deck stairs.

works great. Wish they were sturdier since they are where foot traffic can hit them. Or youngsters feel compelled to step on them to see what they are- ugh. A metal casing rather than plastic would be a huge improvement.

I use this product to illuminate the steps up to my front porch. Attaching the lights to the steps evenly is difficult.
