Solaray Calcium Bisglycinate with D-3 1000 mg - 120 Vegetarian Capsules

I was just diagnosed with osteopenia, started this hoping it will help. I have had no bad reactions whatsoever. It's easy to swallow as well.

This is the best calcium supplement for absorption and it comes in gel capsules. You still have to swallow four of them but the gel capsules are so much easier than those chalky tablets.

I did a lot of research on the various types of calcium available and decided Calcium Bisglycinate with D was the best for absorption. I take two capsules twice daily with food. Of course, I exercise, but my last bone density test had a statistically significant improvement over two years.

My body absorbs the calcium with this product better than others.

I use this form of calcium because of the recommendation of a local nutritionist who sits on many advisory boards. I had adverse reaction to the drug Fosamax I was taking for my osteopenia. So now I only use these capsules in conjunction with magnesium capsules for my condition. Between exercise and these supplements, my osteopenia has improved without drugs. The drawback is needing to add a separate magnesium regimen to ensure your body gets the proper combination to use the nutrients.
