The great advantage of this product is that you have the iodine content specified. There is also granule of kelp that you can order, but there you are somewhat at sea when it comes to the iodine content. Pun intended. ;) I wish I could tell you if the granules are better or worse, but I cannot. I often put about 2 grams of granules into the soup every day or every other day, and that seems to be good, but with the capsules you know just how much iodine you take. And the capsules certainly are good quality. I like to open them and put the content into a soup.
