Works great, gets super hot. There's no smoke as the wood burns; albeit when you're starting the fire. I've only used it once, I noticed that one of the logs was close to the metal on the side and it started discoloring the metal as it burned on the inside. Not sure if that will be a long term issue or something I need to worry about. But, overall I think it does the job; we put this on our deck and it didn't cause any issues. For families, I was worried about my kids touching their feet against the metal while they sat in chairs. I made them put shoes on just in case. Portability: I suppose you can bring it around? Apparently there's an ash tray or something to dump out ashes. It's a little heavy, I wouldn't carry it too far from where ever you're transporting from. You could bring it to a friend's house; not necessarily go hiking with it. The cover has the words upside down, idk what genius designed that, but that's my only pet peeve. All around I'd rate it a 4 out of 5.

We love our bonfire even more than expected! The smoke really is minimal, it's easy to get started, and feels safe and contained for backyard use. We've been using it at least once a weekend since we bought it, and I imagine we will use it all year round. Such a great purchase. We got a surround as well and it has given us total peace of mind with our kids and dog. Great for setting drinks as well.

Love how easy it is to use and put away. Comes with a storage bag when not in use. We knew what we wanted and this fit perfectly in our patio. Very happy would recommend to all my family and friends.

Only thing can top a Solo Stove is the Solo Stove 2. 0 It burns even cleaner, hotter, taller flame, and easier to clean. Yes you will have two more extra parts to manage, but that is what makes the changes so important. BTW, the warranty is also top notch.

recently bought a Solo Stove and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. From the moment I lit it up, I was impressed by how easy it was to use and how little smoke it produced compared to traditional fire pits. It creates a beautiful, warm flame that's perfect for relaxing evenings in the backyard or gathering with friends and family. Cleanup is simple, and the design is both sleek and incredibly efficient. It's quickly become one of my favorite outdoor items—I wish I had bought one sooner!

Always wanted a wood fire pit but don't have a lot of room for it (you can see my old propane fire pit in the background). Got this for Father's Day and finally had a change to fire it up! This thing is amazing. Easy to use, lightweight, and the perfect addition to my yard! 10/10 recommend! Can't wait to get some accessories next! The kids are excited for smores

My new Bonfire lights easier, burns hotter and is so much easier to clean than my old one. The slight raise to the now removable grate makes a huge difference and the removable ash pan eliminates having to lift, move and dump ashes like my old one.

We have a place on a river and park our RV there for summers. Our new SOLO stove is perfect for evening campfires and always feel it is safe when it's burned out and the embers are confined!

Puts out a ton of heat and burns the wood down to the atoms. Very little smoke upon lighting and leaves only ash, and only a small amount at that. Brilliantly and elegantly made.
