I was able to maintain

Jason A. July 25, 2025

I was able to maintain heat from 550 - 750 deg. Hotter than the oven. I read other reviews that complained they couldn't get above 500 deg but I think it all depends on how you build and maintain the fire and what kind of wood you use. I used almond hardwood bundles from the grocery store. Definitely pick up a long handle pizza peel because it's even hotter at the top of the fire pit

Nice addition to the stove

Debra W. August 29, 2025

After eating woodfire pizza out with friends, one of them (who also has a Solo Stove) told us there was a pizza oven attachment available. I thought there was only the stand-alone (propane-fueled) oven - didn't realize there was an oven that fits right over our stove. I bought it for my husband's birthday, and we're loving it. It's fun to have people over and set up a "pizza bar" for everyone to create their own, and the pizzas are delicious.

Restaurant quality and great service

Solo S. August 13, 2025

Had my Pi Fire pit for a few months and used it often. Pizza quality is restaurant good. Consistent cook with a firm crust which is what sets this apart. More importantly - we broker a leg on the unit and it was replaced without question by solo stove. Could not possibly be happier with how they stand by their product!

The Pi Fire pizza oven

R H. September 6, 2025

The Pi Fire pizza oven is an excellent accessory for the solo stove. As someone who makes pizza frequently, this is a unique way to create very tasty pizza. It took a bit of trial and error to get the fire right but once I figured that out (big bed of coals and larger logs to keep consistent heat) it made for great results. The pizza has a smoky flavor and browns very nicely.

Our local pizza place just lost a customer

Jim July 5, 2025

So easy to use. With six family members gathered for 4th of July, we set up an assembly station in the kitchen, so all could customize their pies. I manned the SoloStove outside, using an infrared thermometer to monitor the stone's temperature. So consistent! 480°-500°. Pies cooked beautifully, turning them frequently for even baking. Fantastic results. Happy family!

Pi Fire - Review

Solo S. November 5, 2025

Received our Pi Fire a couple of months ago and was extremely excited to start making some pizzas. Unfortunately, I have never done anything like this so their was a learning curve (at least for me). Dough preparation (made at home/over the counter) was tricky. My first attempt was a disaster as the dough stuck to the peel, etc. . Over time, I am slowly improving but far from perfection. That's what makes it fun. The reason for four stars. . As we know, the Solo Stove get HOT!!!. After 5-6 attempts, I noticed the welds in the legs of the Pi starting to deteriorate. Essentially, they were disintegrating. After closer inspection, only spot welds were done. Not good. In short, two of the legs were cooked (no pun). Called Solo Stove and they sent me a brand new unit to replace which was great but still spot welding. No replacement legs were available at the time but perhaps Solo Stove stocks up on new legs or beefs up its welding efforts. When this happens again, I hope Solo Stove will warranty. Overall, still very happy with purchase. . .

Have a tap and die set ready

Ethan L. July 18, 2025

I haven't cooked on it yet and I am sure that will be great but the assembly upset me. This is a quality control issue and I would have returned it if it wasn't a time sensitive pizza party. I opened the bag and inspected it and left it in the garage to put the legs on later. After all six screws didn't seem like an issue. Put the legs on today and a three minute job turned into an hour. The screws would only start by hand on one leg. I got another screw started with the wrench on another leg bracket without the leg in place and worked back and forth thinking it would free up. I had to get it together so out came the impact driver. Screw stripped out completely and couldn't back it out. Out came the tap and die set. Retapped the remaining three open holes. Screws worked fine. Spent half an hour removing the stuck screw to not damage mounting bracket. Retapped that hole. Screw worked fine. There was an extra. Now it's fine but not everyone has a tap and die set to fix the inserts. Guessing Solo got a bad batch of inserts but the welds were all great and put up with more wrenching than expected.

Check the legs constantly!!!!

Gil D. July 24, 2025

I'm having a similar issue as at least one other reviewer - the welds holding the brackets for attaching the legs to the oven all failed at some point, and legs were only held in place by pressure. Potentially very dangerous, if the legs had shifted while the oven was in use. Waiting for response from support

I ordered the wrong size for our solo stove. I need the bonfire size! I need to exchange this one!

Shoddy leg supports - dangerous!

J M. June 2, 2025

Worked great until the legs broke off at the weak weld joints when we gently shifted the pizza oven to clean it. We were lucky it happened after the fire was out! Solo Stove is having trouble fulfilling a replacement request for the legs, so buyer beware! Been waiting almost two months and can't use the oven. We would have loved to give it a great review, sadly.
