These lights are just what's needed outside on dark walkways, over shed doors or anywhere you need light on an irregular basis. They are solar powered so there are no batteries to replace and they are practically maintenance free, and water and heat proof. The auto sensor is just sensitive enough (range of about 15 feet) and covers a wide area to allow a person to walk near and have the light come on immediately and remain on for approximately 20 seconds. There are three working modes that can be pre-set, Off/High Beam, Dim/High beam and Medium (always on). These are very practical, very easy to install and set-it and forget-it type of light. Had to get more to light up my side yard along my fence line. Love them!

I'm bc akk k ways looking for a VB little extra light along the footpath to my house at night for safety - both for visitors and for security. These are a pleasant blend into the landscaping and a nice addition to my home

I've had this for a little over a week and have had it sitting in the sunlight for charging and it's still out there but it just doesn't trigger or turn on at night. It's a good thought but just a bad one, maybe I just got a bad one that happens from time to time.

I put this light out in the sun for almost a week (the instructions recommend 48 hours) before trying it out. After this time, I tried to use it but when I pushed the buttons on the front to select the mode, nothing happened. I tried this in a very dark room so the light detector shouldn't have affected it. The instruction sheet that came with it is all but useless. I tried to take the back off to check the batteries, but the screws were set in so tight and were so cheap that half of them stripped and I couldn't remove them. Not sure if this was just a bad unit or not, but it's going in the trash.
