I owned one just like this other then the color my old one was black I have used that clock for 25 years every day and up until about a week ago without any problems and its the only clock that I have ever owned that would actually wake me up so if you want a excellent clock and you are a heavy sleeper this is the perfect clock you will not be disappointed

This is a great product! We bought this for our son because he doesn't hear the loudest of alarm clocks. The bed shaker was exactly what he needed to wake him up. He now gets up by himself and this was truly a blessing for the whole family. I would recommend this product to any sound sleeper.

This is a versatile and highly specialized alarm system for the deaf or extremely hard of hearing person. As an alarm clock, it has several choices of awakening message mechanisms, with variable volume control, pitch control of the alarm, with or without vibrations from an attached pod to alert silently. It also allows attachment to a lamp of your choosing which will then blink on and off as a visual alarm for light sensitive deaf people. The unit is also a receiver for optional sensors, to alert the user to such things as smoke alarms, a baby crying or other loud specific noises, and/or a doorbell at other locations in the house. It is unique and extremely helpful.

I'm very hard of hearing and I <3 the shaker, so dont want to wait for a new one (not avalible in store) overall nice alarm -- it will wake ya :)

As a deaf person I need this special type of clock. However, although the clock had most features that I need, the material was cheap, the digital display was crooked and the overall quality made me question the reliability of the clock. I'm sending it back.
