The best 2D sonic game. Sonic gains the drop dash as his special move plus the shield powers, Tails and Knuckles come back, 12 whole areas (each with 2 acts), great bosses and level placement. would recommend plus you should buy the encore dlc for $5 (if you buy mania plus the dlc is included). The encore dlc adds Ray and Mighty as playable characters redone, special stages, 4 player vs, plus a whole new game mode with its own story. the only down side is that we never got a mania 2. TOO LONG DIDN'T REAL TLDR: BUY IT

Very fun. Pretty much like the old games but slightly updated visuals and different levels for the modern gamer. It is difficult like the classic games too. If you game over you don’t start at the checkpoint. The coop mode is fun where you can compete against a local friend. Great on the switch.
