Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds - Nintendo Switch Game

When I booted this game up for the first time, I was immediately blown away. The graphics were amazing and clean, the music was bumping, the colors were bright and beautiful, and it just made me feel like a kid again, playing a combination of racing and Sonic games. I got it while it was on sale, but the promise of eventually adding in characters like Joker (from Persona 5), Pac-Man, and Hatsune Miku?? I HAD to have it. BUY it, you won't be disappointed!

this is a gift for my grandson so until he actually uses it in his new game set up I cannot give it a review yet but once I do hear from him after Christmas I will review it for use it's a popular game so I just wanted to get it early so he would have it.

It's a really good racing game I like it better than the Mario ones so i recommend it. The characters are nice and it makes for a good gift. The tracks are nice and it's really fun to play with friends.

The kids loved it! I enjoyed playing the game as well despite the gap in knowledge. It's easy to learn and great for a night of competitive family fun.

It's a really fun racing game. Watch out Mario Kart World. A new challenger for top spot in the Kart racing genre has arrived. Highly recommend for all ages.

Good packaging and item was as described. Just wish Switch games were a bit cheaper, but it's not as bad as the Switch 2 game prices, which I know is not Walmart's fault.

As a racing game, Crossworlds isn't half bad. Controls are good, framerate is decent, and the gameplay is quite fun on its own. My greatest issue with the game is the amount of content just isn't that great for it's base asking price. There is single player content, such as the Grand Prix, unlockable cars, in-game achievements, and music tracks from time trials. That's pretty much better than nothing, but I feel like a mission mode with different challenges would even things out. I bought this on sale for half the price, and it was a much more reasonable ask for what you're getting.

Another mediocre installment for the franchise. Especially THIS version which is graphically and performance wise an obvious step down from other consoles. Since there is no Switch 2 version this is all you can get for that console so you're better off waiting for THAT to release. The gameplay itself is basic with a new mechanic that switches tracks every time in the middle of a race. It's truly a game that revolves around attention deficits and full of neon landscapes and nonsensical power ups with equally silly animations. If you've played Sonic All Stars or "Transformed" this game will be familiar, but IMO a step down from those games that capitalizes on nonstop STUFF happening on the screen that pulls all it's punches with no nuance whatsoever. I sold my copy quickly because I believed the hype and was really let down. Simply not worth it with a gimmick that just makes it feel like chaotic brain rot.

Product arrived but packaging was obviously redone. It looked very sketchy. It was to be a gift but there was no way I was gifting something that looked so suspicious. I returned it and purchased a legitimate new one from Amazon. Really going to watch these 3rd party sellers Walmart offers.
