Sony 43” Class X85K 4K Ultra HD LED with Smart Google TV KD43X85K- 2022 Model

I really enjoyed the difference between my old Full HD TV and my new 4K TV. I get to experience the frame rate increase a whole lot better than my old one. AND, it has four HDMI ports.

It's a lot of money for a 43" tv, but the picture is fantastic. I added the Sony soundbar for a nice bedroom setup. Very good remote too.

This TV checks all the boxes. 4k with 120 hz refresh rate. My son absolutely loves it and it wasnt really expensive.

I recently purchased the Sony X85K, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. This TV checks all the boxes for what I was looking for in a modern television. (After my old tv died on me) Firstly, the picture quality is exceptional. Watching my favorite TV shows and movies has been an enhanced experience thanks to the vivid colors and sharp details. As well as the upscaling on lower resolution content. The HDR capabilities bring out the best in every scene, making for a truly immersive viewing experience. For gaming, the Sony X85K does not disappoint. It fully utilizes the power of my PlayStation, delivering smooth and responsive gameplay. The low input lag and high refresh rate make a noticeable difference, and a more enjoyable gaming experience. Additionally, the TV integrates seamlessly with my smart home environment. Setting it up was a breeze, and connecting it to my smart home devices was straightforward. Connecting it to my smart home and controlling the TV was effortless. Overall, the Sony X85K TV has been a fantastic addition to my home. It enhances my entertainment experience across the board, from watching movies and TV shows to playing games and managing my smart home. Highly recommended!

Bought for my son for his Xbox %26 PlayStation. Has everything needed for each gaming system.

Shipping was fast. TV works fine. My complaint is that it is over-complicated and no detailed instruction manual came with it. The remote control could also use more direct access buttons, such as for sleep timer. Be aware that this TV does not have input for any RCA cables and you must buy a HDMI adapter to use your older devices.

I am a longtime only Sony TV buyer. Always admired the build and picture quality over the years. In fact, I don't think I have had a single unit give out on me and I tend to keep my tv for years. I bought this unit as a second tv to a similar model I purchased in 2017, which has been great! I was a little disappointed just unboxing this unit when I noticed the unit's was thicker around back top to bottom. The other unit I had has a very thin profile when viewed from the side. The older unit used a bit of design trick by offsetting the electronic bulge from the edges so the screen/tv appears thinner. That design has changed making the unit appear thicker top to bottom from the side profile. Maybe just a personal quirk but I don't like it. However, my biggest issue with this unit or just the state of Sony TVs, is that they have been taken over by Google software. Save for the Sony logo on the front and you would be convinced this is a Google TV, meaning a TV built by Google. Now I am sure many people have no issue with that. But I don't think any consumer should purchase a consumer device like a tv (especially at a premium price point like Sony) and be subjective to the level privacy tracking enabled out-of-box by the Sony/Google android-based TV. You are literally paying to be tracked and advertised to. I spent nearly forty-minutes trying to disable all the tracking-related options. Prolonged by the fact that I disabled one or more options that stopped the Home Screen from appearing correctly and had to factory reset. I won't even get started with all the dark-patterns being used to keep these settings in place. Sony seems to have done nothing to prevent or protect it customers from this. Instead, Sony seems to have pimped us all to Google because if don't want to give into the account demands of Google built-in software these Sony units are less useful and expandable. If Sony wants to use Google TV, it should at least insist all tracking is opt-in by default and a consumer can also have a fully anonymous experience in their chosen TV ecosystem. Otherwise, rebrand it Google TV and I would know to stay away from it. Same beautiful Sony picture quality but I am not pleased with the overall experience.

While the tv has a good pictures it is plagued by a %23 of problems has a large number of channels that show no program information while my 5 year old Toshiba had no problems. Ability to pick up my wifi signal was also a problem. Until I got an extender and placed it next to the TV there was problems keeping a good signal. Again my old tv out performed. old tv was able to connect to my local network and display photos from the photo album on my computer. The sony you have to download and install google home (I had to uninstall and reinstall the app) in order to control your screen saver. The control is limited since you cannot control how soon the screen saver starts watching will not show any shows/movies from some streaming services. Prime video is one of these even though the remote has a button to take you there then continue watching line there is a line of advertisement that you can't remove again comparing this 2022 tv with my 2018 model I could pause and rewind the live tv. This sony model does not.

TV was delivered with a giant crack inside the screen by fedex. Comes on and can hear the sound, but can't see the whats on screen to set it up because the crack ruined the led panel inside. Can't confirm but it might have been dropped by the fedex driver. Heard him cussing outside and left the tv leaning on it's side on the ground at the bottom of my porch when the instructions said “leave at door”

Walmart sent me X77L (which is $200 cheaper )instead of X85K and they don't want to adjust price and don't want to give any compensation for their negligence. I am just suffering.
