This is my third flat screen TV form Sony. I am happy with my purchase and the quality of the product is reasonable. My last HK HD TV was LCD and I was happy with as well, but the HDMI port went bad and I no longer sound when receiving signals from that port. That's why I made this new purchase for considerable less amount of money, so I couldn't pass up the offer or opportunity.
Have never owned a Sony TV, always bought LG and I'm impressed with picture, sound is meh. The brightness is eye gouging, not used to that. Great purchase.
Bought this Sony tv after my previous LED TV started to have discoloured pixels. After a few months of owning it, I can honestly say that this TV is worth the price! The picture quality is very sharp and crisp. Significant upgrade compared to my Hisense television. Playing games on my PS5 with this TV is literally a game changer. The only downside I would have to say is the built in speakers. However, getting a good quality sound bar will definitely solve that problem. Overall I'm happy with the Sony X77L and plan on keeping it for a long time!
It is good. It has trouble staying connected to TV sound system. It works and in the middle of a show or movie, it stops. A remote that glowed, would be nice. It is small and you can't see it and in a darker room, you need a flashlight. If not for sound to during play, it would be much higher rated by me.
I purchased this TV because my son told me how customer friendly it was (set up and remote). It took me 3 hours, 3 chats with Google and finally gave up trying to use the "easy" set up with the QR code. When I entered EVERYTHING manually (which was pretty painful) we finally got to watch TV .
Reference guide in box has very little printed information on general usage of the TV. Hard to find adequate information needed. Other then that it's ok.
This was delivered about 4 days after I ordered it and I was surprised it's a Bravia. It didn't say that on the ad. The color, sharpness, tone, Sony still has everything it was known for in the 80s and 90s. I'm so delighted. It actually replaces my old Sony Wega that's been with me for the last 20 years. That tv really served me well. I always trusted Sony. Always magnificent.
Shipment arrived on time as planned but it wasn't until I had unboxed it and put on TV table and plugged in that I found the screen was broken. The outside of the box was slightly damaged and one wouldn't think the a little broken corrugated would have been so detrimental to the TV but as it turned out the screen was broken. I took it a few minutes ago to the local Wal Mart and they (Lindsey CS) refunded the $511.46. I am reordering another one however I was disappointed they couldn't do that at the store. On April 6th we had ordered the same TV in. 43” and thus far is working well and that's why we went ahead and bought the 50”. I hope this second order for the 50” comes in with no damage. Thanks you
The TV began malfunctioning 30 days after purchase and now fails to turn on
Sound cuts out every 20-30 minutes and lasts for about 5 minutes. It's terrible. I expected more from Sony! How can I watch it without the captions?
