Sony 55” class BRAVIA 8 OLED 4K HDR Smart Google TV K55XR80, 2024 Model

My hubby got me tins amazing wall mounted Sony tv. I had a smaller older Sony Bravia and was content with that......I never knew I really would be thrilled with this new Bravia 8. I am 79 years old and watch late night tv when I can't sleep and this enhances the viewing. The picture is so clear and crisp and the color is amazing. Never thought I needed this.

I absolute love this tv. The picture quality is superb. Easy to set up, definitely recommend the Bravia 8 II BUT, why would Sony go cheap on the remote!! Top of the line tv, but low level remote. Why not include the RMF TX 920U? This is disappointing.

I purchased the Sony 77" OLED and upon installation the picture quality is impressive. A bit of learning curve, I'm a videophile so wanted to deep dive into all of its features. After a bit to picture tuning over a bit of time I have the results I expected. The contrast, colour is the best I have ever had in my home. The only thing I'm still working on is working is its Bluetooth remote. I use a universal infrared remote control. Still figuring out how to implement that. In addition, the T.V speakers on its own blew me away. Great for people that may not connect an audio system to the OLED TV. Lots of useful features too via its Google application. I'm very pleased.

I have not had this TV very long, but already think it is the best I have ever had. It has a great picture no matter which angle you are viewing from. It also has a fantastic audio option that allows direct bluetooth connection to my hearing aids while allowing the built in sound to be controlled by the remote! THe only TV I have found that does this.

This is my second version of this tv. First one was received and, after professional installation, the first one was found to be cracked. Tried to purchase a replacement but was told model was no longer available! Was forced to find another vendor who was able to locate another example and install it a week later. New one now finally working but was disappointed with original vendor support. This is my sixth Sony tv plus lots of other Sony devices such as DVD and receivers.

I bought over 3 weeks ago and finally got the tv delivered a 2nd time after a bad delivery team experience. BUTTT the TV itself is awesome. I am happy I decided to go for a second delivery. The TV has the best sound and ease of menus. Thanks best but.

Excellent picture at 4K, picture is haizy at lower pixels, especially ads and promotions. the original factory setting were not good, It took a while to adjust picture colors quality and external speakers. Picture looks much better after a week viewing. In general an excellent product

Having the privilege of working with SONY professional broadcast and video production equipment for years, this product is a total disappointment: Turn TV on but sound bar audio not there(100% worked with the Samsung)and the hectic time starts, going to menu taking all out, placing all in...nothing, try again, and again, and again, and again, and. again, and again, and again...get the annoying point? Then a couple of days ago, try to go from TV to a stream device and I found Beetlejuice inside the TV playing with it at will. (I don't consider this thing mine, I refuse to believe that I own equipment at 60% of what it is supposed to be, especially not cheap took me a while to get the$$$$$$$$) Press channel up once and it went up a few channels, stopped then continued, pressed down once, yep, same bs. Tried to go back to HDMI 4 and it did the same but this time randomly from side to side on the inputs line of choices. Rebooted, updated software or whatever available(if or when allowed)

I am disappointed in the TV sound system. I was led to believe via Sony and other YouTube videos that it would rival my older Sony/Bose surround system. Not even close. So far the picture quality is good and the apps work nicely. It will take a while to really check the whole package out.

Sound and picture excellent, BUT... I need it to be simple to operate for a 90 year old. Fine if the TV starts in previous mode, but if it displays anything but the HDMI input, she's hosed. I need it to start WITHOUT giving me the latest offers! Second...I TRIED to download a manual from the Sony site, but it's borked. Trying to get it to show more to display my model is a no go, calling tech support outs me in a endless loop. This is a part of the user experience I am not enjoying.
