This is my fourth Sony TV. I currently own a 85" and now this 43" for my bedroom. The colors are crisp, it has decent sound, but the best thing I love is the remote controls everything. It runs my cable box, my apple tv box, and all the streaming services. I am done buying other brand tv's. Setup was a breeze, it connected to my home wifi right away and it connected to my cable box with no issues
I purchased this TV to replace my old Batavia , which I've had for over 15 years. As much as I loved my old friend this new model is a vast improvement. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles as the more expensive models, but for the price and what I need it's perfect.
I bought this product about 5-6 years ago, and it works perfectly.
I have bought several mid-sized Sony TVs in the last 3 years, and all of them are superior products, much better than other brands of mid-sized TVs I have used in hotels and friends' homes. I recently moved, so I purchased this additional Sony TV. I consider all of my Sony TVs to be state of the art, but this newest 43” has even better sound and smart features than the others. It seems even more intuitive. As far as I'm concerned, Sony picture quality is and always has been superior to all others.
Purchased this tv about three weeks ago, very pleased with this item. This was an upgrade for us for our bedroom. Good picture, great volume even without a sound bar. This is my second purchase of a Sony tv, previously got a 65" Sony so pleased with that one that I decided on the same brand for my bedroom upgrade.
Purchased this television approximately ten months ago. Although this Sony 4K Ultra HD Smart TV may cost slightly more than other top brands such as Samsung, the extra cost is well worth it. This Sony - X80J model has a lot of features with separate Internet Ethernet connection for firmware/software upgrades.
It loses sound on Netflix some times, need to go to tv to get it back, Netflix starts on it's own sometimes, have to uninstall YouTube updates every day and resign in to access YouTube
Four of the panels LED back lights have failed over the course of the 3 years of ownership with the first failing after about a year and a half. This has resulted four large dimmed areas of the screen and has effectively ruined the television. The backlight wasn't turned up to maximal brightness nor has it been used excessively over the course of the ownership (about 2 hours a day). Perhaps steer clear of this panel.
I bought this years ago so not sure why I get a review request now but I have had issues with it since purchase. Often the screen will flash a blinking white screen and I dont know the cause or the fix but a day or 2 later it will be fine. There are already dead pixels that have resulted in a black spot about a foot long across the middle of the screen but I guess for the amount of money you pay for a Sony TV that should be expected. I have had to factory reset countless times. Sometimes it just freezes and doesnt respond at all
Will NEVER buy a Sony TV again! Absolute crap product. I wish I could sue you, Sony.
