I bought this TV because Consumer Reports said it was a smart buy, and I trust the Sony name. It was well-packaged in a sturdy and well-insulated box. The delivery went well, TV arrived on time in perfect condition, the delivery man was courteous. One thing to know if you will be using a stand: The legs on this TV are 16 inches from front to back, you'll need a stand that is 18 inches deep to safely use them. I bought a set of aftermarket legs from Echogear as the stand I bought was only 15 inches deep. You'll need to change some settings on this TV to get the best picture (as with all TVs). Consumer Reports has the recommended picture settings on their website. I'm not a videophile, but the picture looks good to me. The color accuracy and detail are good. The viewing angle is somewhat narrow, typical of TVs in this price range (not an issue for my seating arrangement). This set has a 120Hz refresh rate, so it should be good for gaming, I haven't noticed any motion blurring. I'm using a soundbar with this TV, but the built-in sound is acceptable (it has a built-in 10 band graphic equalizer to adjust the tone). The built-in microphone on the remote is a cool feature, it makes it easy to search for a movie or program. I had a little difficulty in the beginning connecting it to Wi-Fi, but after a couple of tries it connected and has stayed connected.
Got a great price for this Sony at Walmart, about half of retail price. Great job on delivery from Walmart. Happy with television, decent picture and sound quality. Set up wasn't too difficult. Google TV built in has performed well as I am use to Roku so the good part, did not have to buy a Roku. For the price, size and what I got for the money I'd do this purchase again.
Everything works great, and it has an amazing picture. Sony has very good upscale technology and that is important because other then movies not much is broadcast in 4k, so upscale ability is something to keep in mind when buying a tv. It has a 120 hz native panel which you need in 2024. It has a 3.0 tuner built in so you are all set when Next Gen begins. Unfortunately the remote that comes with it is not good, the buttons feel fragile, it feels like it's going to break, it is not what you expect to get when you purchase a Sony TV. I personally upgraded to the Sony TX621 Remote because it has a backlight, its faceplate is metal, it's sturdy, the buttons feel strong, the whole remote is sturdy, & It is what you expect to get with a Sony TV purchase. I purchased 3 Bravias before and this is the only one with a bad remote. Sony used to go out of there way using high quality materials on there remotes, and hopefully they will get back to that. The TV is everything you expect from a Sony. I recommend purchasing this model.
the first one was damaged during shipment ... I took it, hoping that the screen wasn't damaged ... well it was damaged severely .... too get a pickup for a return, for a workable TV ... it took `12 revolution of the earth for a pickup ... but all is well now ... looking forward for the replacement
This was supposed to be cutting edge technology? You must be joking. Dark spots began to appear after 2 years. TV was not mishandled in any way. Has been in the same spot since delivery. Last Sony product we ever buy. This purchased was absolutely a complete waste of money. Sony should be ashamed to put out such poor quality product.
You'd expect Walmart to pay a half decent shipping company to ship a 1300 TV. Not only did I get a call saying I had to receive my package early or reschedule a delivery because the driver didn't service my area at the time I was told I could schedule my delivery. To mounting a 100 pound TV up only to turn it on and realize it's busted.
They created the label August 1st. It said deliver by the 11th. They did not deliver it they obviously did not have it. Got my refund on the 12th and the order never goes away in the Walmart app. Please get rid of it because it's annoying to always have to hit the x button every time I open the app.
We tried on different occasions to order two of these and BOTH arrived damaged with a cracked screen. Trying to return was an absolute NIGHTMARE. I spent hours on the phone trying to schedule freight pickups only to have them scheduled and no one showed up. This happened over and over until finally I managed to cram the huge box in the back of my vehicle and drove 30 minutes to my nearest store to return. NEVER again will I order a TV from Walmart, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!!
Broken on the inside and was a nightmare to try to get refund. Never buying large item from here again. All I was told by customer service was flat lies. I don't even think they even had my account brought up on their screen because all they would say is “rest assured everything will be okay” and by about the 10th call and hearing them say that garbage I couldn't take it anymore. If anything please get them a new “reassuring phrase” gahhh this has been a couple months now and reviving how pathetic these customer service people were still gets my blood boiling!!!
Very disappointed - Was excited to get our new Sony 75" Class X85K 4K Ultra HD LED with Smart Google TV KD75X85K. TV was damaged out of the box. Middle of top frame was cracked and TV panel (screen) was damaged in same area. Delivery company (Maersk - Pilot) did not call /text or email prior to drop off date and time - We did request texting updates. Was able to get a refund at local Walmart - Was extremely difficult getting TV back into original Box.
