I bought this for the football season so I could watch 2 games side by side with a clear image. I got more than I thought I would. The PIP is outstanding and the clarity is amazing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lots of thought went into my decision another OLED or latest LCD, my main concern was screen burn in and once I read the specs of the X95J confirmed my choice. I have two issues which are intermittent but still annoying number 1 blooming even on a dark static background and number 2 WIFI isn't stable. TV software is regularly updated now supports VRR.
I've had this tv for a couple months and it has a fantastic picture. It is HUGE but well worth it! Feels like being in the theater. I have it paired with the Sony HTA9 & SA5 subwoofer sound system and it's unbelievable! For the everyday tv user, this is it! Those technical reviews really are not useful! Unbox, plug in, set up & BAM, good to go. Easy set up too. The 4k picture (getting from Youtube video true 4k) is just crazy!
Bought this TV for our new lounge room after renovations. We had a Sony Tv already which has never missed a beat so I was pretty sure I wanted another. This TV had all the features we wanted. It was easy to set up and the picture is brilliant. Can't help but to watch every action epic and nature doco on it because it looks amazing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros - I've had the X95J for a few months now and couldn't have been more happy with it's performance. The smooth motion rate actually works! Watching movies and live sporting events is a treat. The blacks are extremely well presented. As a matter of fact, whenever there's a pitch black scene, in a dark room the TV is literally invisible thanks to the LED magic. Cons - For the price, it is a tad disappointing to witness a lack of sufficient local dimming zones (just 9 in this model) that sometimes results in blooming. Just 2 out of the 4 HDMI ports are 2.1. The other 2 are 2.0. Would've been nice if the eARC port wasn't the same as the HDMI 2.1 port.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you like to watch movies at home, then you need to get the 85 inch Sony X95J. The color is beautiful and it is very bright. The design is stylish and it has very nice features. The 4K Blu Ray movies look amazing on this TV. This TV also has a nice upscaling feature which can make your 1080p Blu Ray movies look almost like native 4K. Get the 85 inch and don't worry about the viewing distance. When it comes to TV, the bigger the better. You are fine as long as you sit 2.6m away from your 85 inch TV.
I purchased this a month ago n great tv but Audio not up to par I mean it has 4 speakers n Sony raves about it adjust to room n great sound Not as good as you'd expect on normal talking some distortion sounds like in a cave n tunnel loud or action great but listening to news not so much, one reason I purchased was for 4 speaker sound n excellent picture ,I'd rate it at 90%
Several features on this TV don't function. To name a few: You can't set a timer using the guide to watch a TV show. Can't use voice to set a sleep timer. Voice commands won't set volume levels. If you use a wired internet connect the TV loses almost all functions. It must be connected to your phone by Wi-Fi. My wired internet connection is much faster than Wi-Fi but I lose a lot of features. Hopefully there will be an update or patch to fix these issues. I could have bought a TV half the price with more features. Very Disappointing!!!
I bought this product almost 2 years ago. It's worked ok but has some warnings coming up about needing more storage space. I needed to restart the tv many times and eventually was able to update the software which took many attempts. Seems to be running ok now. Hopefully it stays that way.
