I switched to Sony three years ago with the A7, which had been out for awhile, and then to the A7RII, but I must say the FX3 is blowing me away. The low light performance and new color science is enough said, but then Sony upgraded the menu and all I can say is it's all you need in a compact cinema camera. Some people have complained about the handle size, but my hands are small and it feels just right. The only thing I am trying to figure out right now is how I import and view the hi-res files once they are on my computer, this may have something to do with registration. Either way, the FX3 was a purchase I'm glad I got, so far.

I Bought the Sony FX30 about a month ago and I have been In Love ever since! I love everything about the camera and the quality that comes out it. Search "Sony FX30 short films" on YT and you will see its capabilities! Im def happy with my purchase.

I Own the Sony cameras, A7III, A7IV, and A9III. and sent them to be maintained at Sony. I received the FX3 to use in the meantime and I loved it! better than all three cameras I own by far!

I came from a camera that was an APS-C and I would also have to fight the light and adding more. With this camera I'm fighting with the light and not against it and turning light down. Best camera I've used plus we got shutter angle. True cinema camera! I was thinkin about buying a cage in which I'm still going to do but there isn't a need with this thing as there are so many mounting points.

I've been able to capture moments in incredible slow motion without any compromise on quality, and that's opened up a whole new world of creative possibilities. The ergonomic design feels like it was built for someone who's always on the go like I am. It's lightweight enough for handheld shooting but also robust enough for more professional setups. I wanted to get better control over my run and gun shoots and this camera upped my game on another level

I've had this camera for a month or two and on all three of my shoots it has exceeded my expectations in terms of look and ease of use.

I have used the FX3 for some time now full-time in corporate and short film production and it is simply awesome. The Camera had performed well and until the latest firmware worked flawlessly. Since the latest firmware, said it only had to do with the new app, it has been getting a battery error, never had that issue any time beforehand but the second I installed the firmware to the app update it started happening. Linking the app to the FX3 has never worked and it causes the FX3 to crash, meaning it becomes non-responsive and you can't turn it off. Sony wants me to send in the camera and all my batteries, but that would mean valuable downtime. So not sure what to do yet. Back to the camera, before the app firmware update, and even after this, ignoring the incompatible battery thing and flaky battery readings after the warning the FX3 is just fantastic. perfect for everything, gimbal, black arm, Tilta Float. So no complaints about the camera itself.

I bought this as an upgrade from my A7iii because many told me of the color, the fan, and the full frame, yeah yeah yeah but holding it as a on the go shooter is not comfortable, there is no finder, and the turn on and off is not easy to use. This camera is great though, just not my favorite and I'll for sure end up upgrading it. The best features is the color, the ability to record yourself and see your yourself when recording, and the recoding light so you know it is recording. Overall 7 out of 10

4 months of use of the FX3, its sent back to Sony for repairs. Memory card slots won't accept any memory card, turning on bluetooth or wifi sends the camera into system error. I am now without my camera and don't know when it will be fixed and returned to me. As a previous owner of the sony a7s3 I went all out with the purchase of the new FX3 with sony gm2 24-70, 70 - 200 glass for my professional works. The video quality that comes out from this camera was superb. I never had any complains from my clients on the night images. I would have to knock off 3 stars on the camera because of the unfortunate issue of the cameras epic failure, especially in the middle of an important shoot. I believe sony could do better with quality issues.
