Sony BDP-S6700 4K Upscaling 3D Streaming Blu-ray Player with Dolby, DTS Audio, HDMI Cable, Black

I have only had this for a week but so far it seems like a really good product. It has some nice features such as being able to use a USB plugged into the front for movies, photos, and music. I have used Sony for many years for televisions and other equipment and have always had good results with using their products.

Very easy set-up, including setting controller for non-Sony TV. Looks to be low power consumption (given the converter vs regular power cord). If there are problems, will modify this review. Bought this to replace previous Sony player which would no longer register a disc... but still use it a surround sound for this unit.

Purchased this item 3 weeks ago, and am very happy with the easy setup, and picture quality.

The player is okay, but the remote is awful, and the interface is horrible. Low res, brown, hard to navigate. The only useful apps are youtube and Netflix, no Amazon and nothing else you have ever heard of. Don't waste your money.

I used this player a handful of times and it just stopped working after 3 months. It will not turn on despite trying all the things that the Sony website recommends. This is extremely disappointing.

I bought this product just a few months ago, and it is showing the same symptoms as other models before it. Freezing up, and locking out so the player will not do anything. I have to do a hard reboot most of the time to fix the problem, then a few weeks go by and it does it again.

Worked for 2 months. Was replaced by Sony. The second one lasted maybe 3 months. Due to COVID no phone support. Now this is past warranty. SONY will not replace and support its product.

Bought this to play the latest 4k discs and upscale regular blu rays. Why would a player that says 4k on the box only upscale and not play 4k discs?? Like I know the difference. Technology changes all the time Sony, when you come out with a product you need to be clear about what it can and can't do!
