This is my fifth mid/high end Sony and they just keep getting better and less expensive. I looked at the $2,400 model and the $1,400 unit and for $1,000, the XR8B is more than sufficient for my bedroom. I would even say it would be fine for the family room. Only the media room may benefit from a higher end model. Good luck.
The set up process could have been better. The directions on the set up of the TV needs to be made clearer.
The picture and colors of this tv shocked me for 2 weeks after purchase. We've had a Samsung tv and 2 Vizios that died, so I went for Sony this time. So glad I did. 100 times better than Samsung, and so is the operating system!
Unbelievable if you love gaming and movies in the dark. This is my first OLED and I'm very satisfied! You have multiple choices for settings and it's pretty easy to use.

We have not yet taken it out of the box yet to confirm that is it working properly however our goal is that it is 5 stars in overall satisfaction, price, and quality.
Have zero issues with the TV and definitely recommend it. But a HUGE problem with Walmart! I purchased this as a brand new item and realized it had been used after setup. Reached out to Walmart twice and both times promised a partial refund but haven't received anything.
Delivered ok. But, the problem is the tv does not work!!! My tv has no picture ,no power , and a red light is flashing 6-times. According to Sony the red flashing light signals an internal error or a hardware problem like backlight failure ,power failure issues or a faulty main board. The problem needs to be fixed ASAP !!! Or a new tv needs to be shipped ASAP !!! I also purchased the extended 4-year warranty. Please contact me ASAP !
