Fast autofocus, optical image stabilization, small form factor, and powerful telephoto zoom lens make this a practical travel camera. Some test shots at the top of the telephoto range show how the OIS truly sets this apart for handheld shooting.

In an effort to reduce bulk for travel, I was choosing between the Sony RX100 VII and the Leica Q2. I chose the Sony because of its undeniable practical value. I lose out on the full-frame, high-megapixel images, but I gain a telephoto zoom and phase-detection autofocus.

I managed to set up the bluetooth connection for geotagging photos. Sony has a *lot* of room to improve their app interface and onboarding, but I got it to work by following the instructions carefully and not trying to skip any steps.
