Sony DSX-M55BT Marine Media Receiver with Bluetooth and USB

I had yhe previous marine version but that one didnt have Bluetooth...this one plugged right in...of course like all decks you need to re wire it....don't write a review that it doesnt just plug in...they never do unless you pay for a wiring harness....worked perfectly and I was able to keep the wired remote on the back of the boat...great buy

this was a replacement for a older sony marine sterio it fit perfect the wire harness was differnt all color codes the same just cut and spliced the origianal harness to it plays loud and clear

I bought this unit for my vessel to upgrade a Sony Marine radio from 10 years ago to another Sony unit which had many more features including Sirius XM, Bluetooth, Front USB

I installed this on my 2008 FLHX Works great even with hand controls

Just installed this in my boat, haven't had a chance to give it an "on water" torture test yet. I put my MP3 collections on a tiny 64GB usb drive and the unit is reading the music just fine. Programmed in my favorite FM station quite easily but when the main power is killed, the presets are lost. Was a straight forward installation with no problem(s). Took a few tries to get the bluetooth paired with my Nexus 5 phone but was able to play the same music, that also resides on my phone, with the PI music player. The back lower part of the player does get pretty hot, some better heat management is highly recommended to Sony as heat is the deadly enemy of electronics. Better integration with Android would also be much appreciated.

Nice sound, easy to pair with BT. It would have been nice to have the wires on the harness to be a little longer. I had to contact Sony support for one question, they were worthless.

Works fine. Drops blue tooth connection every once in a while.
