From headphones to speakers and soundbar, Sony is consistent in producing devices with impressive sound quality. I tested this Bravia Theater Bar through the Dolby Atmos sound test via Youtube and it felt like I was in a movie theater! It passed the surround sound as well as clearly identifying the moving audio. This sound bar boasts a cinema-style surround sound with 360 spatial sound mapping and it's absolutely true based based on my personal experience. It has 13 speakers units which definitely helped deliver a crisp and clear sound with powerful bass. The app was okay, didn't really use it much after downloading it, maybe only once and that was it. But, if you're the type of person who loves to customize audio settings then you would definitely often use the app. I like how you can easily connect devices through this sound bar, I can play spotify music through my phone and I love the sound quality experience. Highly recommend and so thankful for influenster for giving me a chance to try this amazing sound bar from Sony!

It provides a surround sound experience without having speakers need to be placed around the room and it's compact but still is aesthetically pleasing so it will have a great spot on my mantle. It connected seamlessly to my TV and phone and I'm very excited to keep using it for both music and watching TV.

The setup also takes the layout of the room into consideration so the sound travels nicely. Good weight to it, feels durable. Worth the splurge!

I was very excited about this sound bar, however, I was very disappointed with the quality of the sound. I have a Bravia TV so setting up the bar to the subwoofer was very easy to do. Singing this is what is the top-of-the-line Sony sound bar? I thought I was going to be blown away by the sound, but I ended up being disappointed voices were muddled, and the projection of the sound was moderate at best I compared the Sound bar to two other top-of-the-line sound bars, and I decided to return the Sony Bravia 9 sound bar.

I bought this sound bar in January and I have had a problem registering it. I have a Sony Bravia 9 tv that I can not pair with the sound bar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm pretty sure that there are better sound systems out there. We can hardly tell if the sound is coming from the TV speaker or the Sony BRAVIA Bar. There is no difference. We try to change the bass and the sound field/night mode, but it's still not much of a difference. The remote control stopped working after two weeks (we added brand new batteries in). Before the remote control went bad, there was no telling that the remote is doing what we're pressing. Nothing is showing up on the screen to indicate the volume has gone up or down. If we press any of the other options, the sound would pause (cut off) and then come back. We took that as an indication that the remote is doing what we wanted to do. But, again, the remote does not work anymore and I uploaded the BRAVIA app to use instead of the remote. Sometimes, the sound bar won't connect to my phone and I have to keep retrying until it connects. The plus thing is we can control the volume using the TV's remote control, but we can't use any of the other options. It's also important to note that i installation steps weren't easy to follow. I ended up looking up the steps online to understand the parts and how they work.

The Bravia Control app & system is the most horrible wireless setup I have ever seen. It literally took hours and multiple attempts to get all the system components to link and eventually work. Sony, you can do better than this!

The remote - borderline useless. All needed controls must be done through the app. That is also terrible and often disconnects from my soundbar. At this point the minimal display should be a requirement. As should a reliable, intuitive remote.
