A rushed buy where I relied on the Sony reputation for technical excellence to lead me through the multitude of "almost" good alternatives. Very happy with this product. HDMI from the bar to my old TV (not Sony) was easy. I like the one button options on the Remote to select optimised sound effects like Cinema, Music, Voice etc -- very user friendly!
I've had this a week now and use it connected to the TV and for playing LP records on a Sony turntable connecting via Bluetooth. I'm impressed with the quality of sound from the TV (Sony Bravia 3). Store salesperson said the quality of LP playback on the soundbar wouldn't be good because the turntable converts analogue to digital (Bluetooth) but to my ears is just great and the bonus is no more speaker wires to hide.
I'm very happy with my soundbar. It had clear instructions on how to install it but I did need to use ChatGPT to confirm how to hook it up as I also have a Fetch PVR with my Sony Bravia TV. I didn't have any audio at first when using Netflix through the Fetch but ChatGPT showed me how to change the TV settings and it works well.
This has been a definite improvement of the sound on my (old) Sony Bravia TV and I have found that the 'music' setting seems to work best for all round good hearing. Very pleased w/my purchase
Installed in workout room. Setup was easy, minutes… if that! Sound is good, even with elliptical and treadmill running! Needing longer hdmi cable would be my only complaint.
Great little sound bar. Easy to set up and great sound at this price. We already had the larger Sony sound bar with sub woofer and just wanted something for the bedroom TV. This is the perfect reasonably priced solution.
I purchased the soundbar to bypass the weird and annoying bass suround sound from our new Sony K50S30 Bravia. The soundbar works OK and we got rid of the problem.
Bought a few weeks ago, does all that i needed it to do, bought at same time as new 43in TV. Would be nice if maybe there was an audio jack to be able to utilise older technologies with it.
This soundbar is good but not like expected. I purchased it from official website and it doesnot have any bass on it so without subwoofer its no use at all. There is no any bass system in this item either. And website intent to sale this item without subwoofer and made the customers fools. So i recommend do not buy this item without subwoofer and customers will find better option outside this website.
After using for about 4 months I put away as upgraded, pulled out to go use and it won't turn on at all, have tried different cords and power outlets with no luck.
