SONY MDR-XB650BT/B Black EXTRA BASS Bluetooth Headphones

These are exactly what I wanted! I tried these on at a local store and was really impressed with the sound quality and plenty of bass. Comfort and easy controls are a plus! Had to purchase a Bluetooth transmitter for my tv for these....but now I can watch movies without sharing the experience with my neighbors!

I purchased the headphones about a year ago and use them once or twice a week. They performed perfectly and I love to use them. Recently while trying to put them on the arm snapped where it connected to the earpiece, I glued them together but they keep breaking. More recently they broke at the swivel point and not I cannot glue them back together. The plastic is cheap and brittle. Do NOT buy these headphones.

I received this as a gift. The plastic that holds ear pieces has cracked in 4 different places . I have re enforcement it. I love the sound its fantastic . I recommend stronger plastic in these areas.

I have had my headphones for approx 12 months. They have been sparsely used but when I had the opportunity, I loved them & looked afyter them which is obvious in the photos attached. However, a few months ago I noticed that one of the ear-piece swivels had broken. I taped it back together as a temporary fix. Thinking it must have been my fault due to some unknown misplacement or such like, I was extremely careful from then on. However, just last weekend the other swivel broke without the slightest mishandling or impact. Upon checking the website I found that others experienced the same problem so obviously there is a fault with the structure. Reading the sony forums, this seems to be a common issue with these headsets therefore, Sony is obviously aware. I do enjoy these headphones and I would like them to be fixed. How can I get this issue resolved?

After eleven months of purchase, the produce has held up relatively well. Sound quality is amazing if this headset is connected to a device that does not have wi-fi turned out or a microwave is nearby, which is understandable, given that microwaves will affect Bluetooth connections regardless of product.. The problem begins when wi-fi is turned on though. No mannger which wi-fi hotspot used or which device the headphones is connected to, if the device is connected to wi-fi, the audio will stutter, with lots of static and lag if the audio is in conjunction with a video. The audio plays crisply throughout my house, playing through walls, closed doors and even floors when the above conditions are met. What's nice about this product in terms of longevity is that it won't cut out on the sound in one of the ear cups, something I've experienced with 5 earphones and 4 other headsets, some cutting out just 3 months in, and others having a maximum lifetime of 6 months before the audio never plays from one side ever again. That said, this is the only headphone I have ever owned where the headset itself has damaged from no particular mishandling of the item itself. I have never dropped, mishandled, over-twisted the swivel, etc. The only strain I have ever put this headphone under was adjusting it to my head, whereas one day, the ear piece cracked for no conspicuous reason putting the headset on. I have read others complaining about the fragility of the unit, and it would seem my experience has not deviated from this common phenomenon.

Bought these about a year ago to wear on a flight, and to watch Netflix on my iPad at home. The sound is good but despite the only occasional and gentle use one of the ear pieces completely broke of from the headband, rendering it useless.

I purchased these headphones after buying a similar pair of Sony Bluetooth headphones for my partner. The battery life is exceptional and audio quality great, however after 6 months of ownership the headphones snapped at the joint between the ear piece and head band when simply removing from my head. This is terrible quality I would not have expected from a premium pair of headphones, or Sony.

On both left and right earphones the pivot has now sheered off completely leaving the headphones useless after less than a year of usage. I expect a far more durable product. I would give it zero stars if I could based on the poor design quality.

So many reviews are posting about the swivel breaking, not even a month old and cracked in 2 places on the left side. They were a Christmas gift and purchased ahead of time. Sad that Sony used to be a good name to deal with.

Good sound, headphones lasted about a year. Then the swivels broke on both sides, which can only be fixed with duct tape and super glue. Not worth the money
