Sony Pictures - The Way We Were [ULTRA HD]

It's so wonderful to have this classic movie in my collection, now in the super-high quality format of 4K UHD. The love story rings true and is deeply resonant, brought to life on film through the special chemistry of its stars, Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford, who are two of my all-time favorites. Sydney Pollack is the carpenter and glue that puts it all together, while Marvin Hamlisch brings the ultimate tearful emotional impact of the musical score, so gorgeous, and with a kiss to the past, now 50 years ago, a bygone era, like a movie in the movie of my mind. The picture quality is stellar and perfectly filmic with a natural grain field. To own this movie in such a pristine format takes the experience to the ultimate level, the way it is is meant to be. Walmart delivered the disc immediately and by FedEx, my preferred delivery service.

Price was good, was available when I needed it

Love the basic movie, the 4k disc would not play in a 4k UHD player. The standard blu ray eventualy played after coaxing it and trying three times. The playback was grainy and quite poor for a bluray disc. The standard dvd is sadly superior to these failures. Streisand deserves better.
