This is one of my favorites. Graham Greene is a favorite, so is Val Kilmer. The story goes, there are a series of murders on a reservation, but the natives won't talk to the feds, so the feds send an agent who is part native and grew up on the same rez. This agent rediscovers his roots while solving the murders.

A classic Native American Film if you havent seen it you are missing out, Closest the the truth as I have ever seen using Native American Actors with is a plus never looses Its messege I highly recommend this film

This movie is a great rendition of true events - with Hollywood's input. Val Kilmer at his best, with Graham Greene and Sam Shepard and a host of other great but unknown actors and actresses. Have watched dozens of times since first viewed on cable and am glad to own it

Eye opener!!! I dearly hope that this is not how it really is on Indian reservations. Instead of everybody going kookoo over helping black people, the U.S. Government should concentrate on America's real heritage - the American Indian - and helping them!!!!!!!!!!

Great movie. Upon hearing about Mr. Kilmer's passing, I was reminded of this film, and that I hadn't seen it in 20 years. I ordered the DVD. I enjoyed it much more than before. The scenery, the story, the screen presence of Val makes it a memorable film. David Crosby plays a small part as the bartender. That was a nice surprise.

Seen this movie many times. Great movie, wanted to add it to my collection. The copy I was sent has closed captions printed into the actual movie -- they cannot be turned off. The copy seems like some sort of cheap knockoff. Completed unsatisfied. Done with Walmart. Will take all of my future delivery business elsewhere.

A uranium deposit does not contaminate the land or water unless it is either cut by erosion or it is mined. In the movie, the ground had only been tested for uranium at the surface. No drilling ha been done. N mining had been done. Although it was an interesting story, the entire premise for the story was wrong. It is typical of Hollywood writers not knowing anything about what they are writing about. Get it right or don't do it at all!
