Troop Beverly Hills is a glossy, upbeat early-'90s comedy with a bubblegum sheen—think pastel blazers and sitcom energy. It follows Phyllis Nefler (Shelley Long), a wealthy Beverly Hills mom who becomes the unlikely leader of a misfit wilderness girls troop. The film is unapologetically feminine in aesthetics and spirit, leaning into glam and consumer culture while still trying to honor Girl Scout–style camaraderie.
