I've had these for a few years use them at work daily. They are amazing and the nosie canceling works incredibly well. In the industrial setting of my workplace they help cut down on the annoying and loud machines noise. The audio quality is unbelievable for such a small device. Best buds I've ever owned worth every penny Make sure you get the Sony headphones app for the best experience
I bought my wf-1000xm5's almost 3 years and I have yet to be disappointed by them. The sound connect app is seamless and very well made with so many useful settings and features. The earbuds themselves have very good build quality, amazing sound quality, a great fit/feel, and amazing features. I have recommended them to multiple people!
I previously owned the WF-1000XM3 earbuds, and was very satisfied with the fit, sound quality, and features offered via the Sound Connect app. Since they were about four years old, I decided to upgrade to the WF-1000XM5 model. The fit is better, the sound quality is better, and the ambient noise cancelling is better. In addition, the case and earbuds are significantly smaller. Overall, an excellent purchase.
The Sony WF‑1000XM5 deliver a level of noise cancellation that genuinely feels a step ahead of everything else on the market. Sony has managed to shrink the size, improve the comfort, and still push the performance even further a combination that makes these earbuds stand out in a crowded field. If you want the best noise‑canceling earbuds available today, with premium sound and comfort to match, these are the ones to get.
I boought this last month from Macy's. I am a music lover and have a good experience of audio quality and spectrus distriution by listening a same song in multiple devices. This device is delivering quality output without noise and clipping even in high volume. also the low frequency signals are not getting attenuated at any level of volume. Another feature is I am using more than 3 device in my daily life. And able to switch the connection without any struggle. Sleek design also
I bought it for a friend who works in a very noisy industrial invironment. when I called him during work hours, the noise cancelling feature did not work well. I had much better experience with new samsung ear buds.
May be easiest to say everything is great with one minor issue (so far) Right ear bud does not always connect. This requires it to be placed back in the case and removed to connect. A bit of a nit pick as the sound, build & comfort are top notch.
The Sony WF-1000XM5 delivers quality sound at the expense of multiple aggravating issues and a significant hole in your wallet. The touch controls are incredibly sensitive and an accidental brush of the earbud easily causes a pause/skip/restart. The buds do not agree with long hair. Trying to wear these buds after a shower will cause the buds to execute touch commands the moment a wet hair touches them. The buds are quite large and uncomfortable and do not work for long use. Your ear will be sore after and extended wear. The charging prongs for the earbuds are very inconsistent and require regular cleaning. Failing to do will lead to the buds not charging properly or even connecting to your phone while in the case. These issues do not warrant the high price tag. While possibly enjoyable for brief uses these buds fail to be a multiple hour earbud
I find it difficult to get the earbuds into their proper position for maximum sound quality. I would not buy these again.
Earbuds do not fit in my ears. They are too large. When you try to adjust them in your ears (as you are instructed to do), the buds make all kinds of noise and my phone tries to do all sorts of commands. The charging house is made to feel like it’s made of paper (perhaps it is), the buds are slippery and hard to hold onto to. When trying to insert them to charge it’s very difficult to get them to “click” into place. When I tried to use an alcohol wipe to clean off the fitted piece they disintegrated! Maybe they’re made of paper too!
