The Sony z9j is hands one of the best master series tvs yet. I've always been a fan of led and this upgrade to the mini led takes things to a whole new level. One thing that blew me away however was the speakers within the tv, when I started the setup (pre) av system I through a movie on and heard this amazing sound, and bass! Technically you don't need a sound bar. But then they went ahead and added speaker posts for one directly into the tv! Honestly I could go all day, your just gonna have to get one for yourself.
Super bright, which is critical during the day in a brighter room. Wish more television was broadcast in 4K, but upscaling works fairly well. And 4k streaming is stunning. Purchased at end of 2021 cycle, which made it much more affordable, as original price was beyond reach.
I purchased a month ago , the best performance I ever seen in a TV . It makes the incredible 4K streaming look even better than 4K . It also does a great job enhancing standard definition and high definition picture quality. . It does such a good job with 4K streaming it's hard to impossible to tell the difference from 4K disk movies played on the top of the line 4K Sony Disk player. By far the best sound and picture I ever seen on a TV and I earned 2 advanced degrees in electronics. If you're looking for the best TV in my opinion purchase a Sony , if you want the best Sony purchase this model, you would be great full you did . Stephen
We purchased this as a Christmas present for us. We read glowing reviews on the model and loved the picture in the store. I've never hat a TV picture that looked as good in the store as it did when I got it home, this one does. Truly an amazing picture.
It's a great television. Although not much content is 8k, I have beenable to enjoy some very high quality videos, apparently 8K. The TV does great in all setting, daylight or night. It can be super bright when necessary. They only minor issue is the memory, it doesnt come with a lot of memory so it can get used up with just a few apps. I does kind of limit the experience a bit. Sony quality is still awesome, might even be the best. Im sure the newer version of this TV is still better than the current model i own.
I was first introduced to Z series sets or should I say stepped up to a few years back. My first, was a XBR 65 Z9D. Great T.V. very impressive, loved it. Couldn't beat the picture, so I thought. My daughter has it now and it's still going strong with pristine picture. Wanted to step up to something a little larger, and waited until the Z9J 8k was released and purchased a 75" screen and couldn't be happier. Even though Z9J 8k is lacking Master Backlight Drive Technology which my Z9D had, I don't know what Sony did but the picture on the Z9J is even better. Don't know if it's their new cognitive processing technology, but whatever they did you won't be disappointed with the picture quality. I'm a precise and critical viewer when it comes to my viewing enjoyment, and with each new set I get, look for any flaws that new technology says you won't have. Well with the Z9J 8k I have none found, picture is pristine. It won't disappoint ! Still available today that I've seen and at some attractive pricing. If your looking for a well made 8k television, I think you won't find one any better.
I always wanted to own a master series sony tv. You might say that's too expensive or why doesn't come in a smaller size to be more affordable. All I can tell you is that this tv is awesome. The details that you see on the tv using a high end 4k or low end 8k picture is stunning. You feel like you're there in person. Every Friday is movie night at Papa and MawMaw house. My 75inch tv makes me feel like I'm at the movie theater. If you can afford it buy it, you're going to love it.
While 8K is not available yet (2028?), this TV is masterful in all manners of viewership. The colors, blacks, and framing are super-impressive. A costly investment for sure, this is the pinnacle of entertainment at home.
Purchased with high expectations and paid 2-3x comparable TV's to get 8k. We keep TVs 8-10 years so future proofed my purchase with 8k, was idea. The problem is there is no real 8k content and 4k is very limited. As a result, this TV is overkill and reflecting back it's probably not worth the money.
Overpriced piece of garbage .DO NOT waste your money . Short life expectancy. Terrible sound .Poor backing from Sony .OVERPRICED. Buy anything else ,it will last longer .
