I have wanted a countertop nugget ice maker for what feels like forever, but they were always just out of my price range. I was finally able to get my hands on this Ice Maker ( and to say I absolutely love it is an understatement)! This is easily one of the best purchases I have ever made! It looks sleek, modern, and strikes the perfect balance—it's not too big and not too small for the counter. I absolutely love the blue UV light feature inside. It gives me total peace of mind knowing there is an extra layer of cleanliness keeping my ice fresh. My last couple of ice makers had those removable mesh/plastic holding baskets. They *always* got dirty and acted as total germ magnets. This machine doesn't use one, which makes it so much more hygienic.Instead of a messy drain plug on the side like most machines, this one features **two drain plugs directly on the bottom** for both reservoirs. Draining it from underneath is so much cleaner and completely mess-free. The touch controls are incredibly easy to use and feature matching blue indicator lights that look great.With the push of a button, it handles the hard work for you. It is *so* much easier to maintain than my previous ice makers. This machine is a powerhouse. Within the first hour to an hour and a half, it had completely filled the entire bucket and the "Ice Full" indicator came on! Best of all, it is incredibly quiet. You honestly cannot hear it running at all, even when the compressor kicks on. The nugget ice is my absolute favorite part. It's that perfect, soft, chewable texture that you usually only get at major restaurant chains. While nugget ice really only comes in one standard size (I initially thought it'd be neat to have size options, but quickly realized nugget ice is just uniquely its own size!), it is exactly what I wanted. **Quick Tip for Future Buyers:** The machine comes with a handy ice scoop, but there isn't a dedicated holder for it outside the bin. To avoid leaving it inside the ice (because of germs), I stuck a simple suction-cup hook to the side of the machine to hang the scoop when it's not being used. Problem solved! Shipping was excellent! I selected this item as a recognized Walmart reviewer. It arrived securely and timely. Instructions were simple to follow and assembly was easy. Ice production started quickly. The ice is nugget style. The machine does not take up any more room than expected and filling the water bin is simple. Works like a charm! If you like sonic ice, this ice is exactly the same..tiny little bullets. It makes ice very quick , comes with its own little scoop and easy to use. Great for parties and people who use a lot of ice.
