Defective
The high pass filter would turn off all sound to the left speakers. The speaker input connectors did not make good connection to the amp.

Don't waist your money. You get what you pay for.
Uses 2 TDA7377 bridged chips at 14.4 volts RMS out is less than 14 watts into 4 ohms and not much more into 2 ohms. Most head units use TDA7580 chip. RMS output at 14.4 volts is about 22 watts per channel into 4 ohms and 32 watts into 2 ohms. This information is taken from ST microelectronics data sheets for the chips. You would be better of buying a very good head unit. If you still want an amp the best way to gauge the absolute most power it can make is to multiply the voltage and the fuse size. This gives you the amount of power (watts) it takes to blow the fuse. Depending on the type of amp, the RMS output will be about 20% to 50% of this value. This will at least let you know your 400 watt amp is probably 13 watts X 4 channels = 72 watts RMS on a good day.
