The best full-wireless earbuds at this price point

AWix May 3, 2021

I wanted to wait a while after getting the Liberty Air 2 Pros to review. Especially with things like headphones, the initial experience is far less important than the experience over time. After a couple weeks of using these for a multitude of situations, I can pretty comfortably say that at $129 you're not going to find a better combination of sound quality, comfort and features. First things first, the packaging is really nice on these. A sturdy, magnetic lid box showcases the case and buds which is imbedded in the housing for the manuals and the many, many ear tips included. I don't think I've ever had so many options provided for ear tips with 8 pairs provided, all different sizes and dimensions. While I usually go for the smaller tips, I went with the medium sized ones with the bigger core as they seem to fit a bit more snug. A short USB-C cable is provided and facilitates rapid charging of the case, which is nice. The case is probably my favorite design aspect of this set up. The ear buds literally fly into the case and hold tight and the sliding door is almost addictive in its use. The rounded shape and soft touch material make it comfortable and that fact that it includes wireless charging is nearly a perfect combination. These buds are designed to sync from the case with an easy single flush button on the top, which is also a nice user friendly feature. I'm not going to to into too much detail about the bud designs themselves as they are quite similar to the AirPod Pros and many others, with my only complaint being that because they angle quite far forward if you're like me and have facial hair it can rub against the shaft of the bud and be somewhat annoying during calls. On to the most important parts. The sound quality on these are phenomenal, especially once you tweak them using the supporting Soundcore software. The bass is tight and controlled and the treble is very detailed, almost too much so at times. The soundstage is decent but fairly contained, you're not going to feel like you're in the opera house, but stereo separation is good and with the right music can really pull you in. The only lacking space is the mid-range, which is a little weak and I think was a compromise because of the specialty coated drivers. The coating gives them incredible treble response and that tight bass, but the mids fall a little flat. Altering the EQ in software can balance this out, and a lot of people will prefer the default sound, but just something to consider. Speaking of the Soundcore app, it's really a quite nice interface. These things are feature rich and have all the standard cutting edge things you would expect to find, such as hybrid active noise cancellation, audio pass through and voice amplification. The noise cancellation works about as well as competing buds, with only marginal quality loss. There are several different parameters, such as only blocking out small noises, or cancelling out a crowded airplane. Take note that using it in an already quite environment will allow you to hear the slight electrical noise that is generated to counteract the soundwaves, so best to use this feature only in noisy environments. The pass through is quite nice, with options for full passthrough of all sounds or a special processing mode that isolates voices only and projects them into the earphones. I've found this works probably 80% of the time, and got substantially better once I updated them, so be sure to keep them updated via the app. My only complaint is that the passthrough function only works if both earbuds are being used. I like to use just one bud to talk with and the passthrough function does a good job of neutralizing the boominess of your own voice when talking. If this feature worked with just one bud I would use them almost exclusively for phone calls as well as music. The EQ features of the app are pretty amazing as well and really show off the advancements that have been taking place in earbuds over the last couple years. The app has a feature that will map the frequency response of each ear and set the EQ accordingly. It also features a fitment check that verifies that your buds have a good seal, multiple pre-set EQ settings, and a manual mode to adjust it yourself. Overall pretty much everything you could need to get these sounding the best they can to your own ear. I'm not sure how long the battery life of the buds are, because they've never ran out before I've put them back into the case. I've gotten at least 3 - 4 hours out of them and am confident that they last every bit of the advertised 7 hours with moderate levels of volume and sparing use of noise cancellation and passthrough. The case will go several charge cycles before needing to be charged itself, about as long as most competing brands. Overall, these things sound amazing, have great features and also look very premium, with flat metallic facing and chrome lettering. At this price there is pretty much nothing that competes with it. The only nitpicks I have are the rubbing of facial hair and the fact that they can only sync to one device at a time. I use these double duty between my phone and my laptop and it would be great if I didn't have to disconnect them every time I wanted to switch devices. Otherwise, you cannot go wrong with these amazing buds!

Comes with a few extras

Anonymous April 30, 2021

These are actually decent earbuds. I like that they come with a compartment that you can store different types of earpieces in so you won't lose them and they also come with different sized ear pieces for the earbuds. They also have the option of downloading an app that can interact with the earbuds per bluetooth. The noise cancellation is excellent.

Holy amazing

Brandon May 19, 2021

These are by far the best headphones/earbuds I've ever owned! I love the customizable EQ. These earrings let you take a brief hearing test to give you the best quality sound. I will never buy any other earbuds again. Everyone should go out and get these!

Best earbuds I ever had

flower April 29, 2021

These are the best earbuds I've ever had. I go through a lot of earbuds. I do a lot of walking and work. The sound was awesome and they fit perfectly. They even have little fittings for your ears. So you can get the right size, that fits. It wasn't that hard to pair to my phone or any other device. I love them.

Don't buy anything more expensive than these!

John May 2, 2021

I've owned a pair of $15 bluetooth headphones for several months. They were fine. But they didn't offer any of the customization these do. They weren't noise cancelation and the sound worsened as the volume went up. These have none of those issues and the app makes adjusting settings very easy! 100% recommend! No need to pay more for headphones because these have exactly what you need!

Great set of earbuds!

LJ May 19, 2021

This set of earbuds is quite impressive! I was worried they wouldn't stay in my ears well, but once I figured out which changeable bits to use, they stay in beautifully! I love the feature that if I remove one from my ear, the podcast or music I'm listening to will pause. The included case is chic and easy to use as well. The buds charge in the case, safe and sound! I've been using these off and on for a few weeks and so far I've only had to charge them once. I would expect these to last at least a couple of days if I used them constantly. The sound quality is pretty nice as well. No static or popping or strange uncomfortable beeping sounds from connecting to Bluetooth. The app that performs a sound test and modified the buds to your specific needs is a bonus. I would definitely recommend these if you need to go completely wireless!

The best headphones I've ever had

Aferguson1413 May 2, 2021

Seriously, these are the best. I know I will never be able to go back to another brand. It is actually hard to find something negative to say. They work with using just one headphone. There seems to be a mic in both pieces because it picks up with one or both being used. Speaking of the microphone, it picks up so smoothly. Driving down the highway with windows down, still could be heard. They're super comfortable and have multiple sizes included. The noise cancellation is phenomenal. Cut the grass on the riding lawn mower, didnt miss a single word of the podcast I listened to. The only con I could really make would be the fit, they may not fit everyone, you just gotta find your fit size. Otherwise, these would be worth ever cent you spend on them!!

Pros and cons

Mr20878 May 1, 2021

The Liberty Air 2 pros have great sound when playing music and while on voice calls. In fact, they have improved call quality immediately upon first use, so much so that callers notice a big difference between now and before. I can modify the equalizer using their app and it also shows me battery levels for each earbud. The app, while convenient, has issues and needs updating. For example, whenever you select and change a setting, the app will save it and restart to the beginning. Solid pair of earbuds that I use several times a day and will continue to do so. The battery lasts at least 7 hours, at least for me. Also, when the battery gets low, you will receive at least 3 verbal warnings until you have to charge them. Do yourself a favor and GET A PAIR.

Quality

Jrokz May 6, 2021

The Liberty Air Pro 2 are a great pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones. The sleek cool teardrop design are stylish and neat. The background sound canceling noise is a great feature for this product. I like that it came with several different sizes for the ear fittings. The earbuds fit really nice in my ears and was easy to set up and the app for these earbuds is really cool and offers lots of music titles. I highly recommend this product for anyone on the go or just relaxing at home.

Sound too quiet

Erin May 19, 2021

I tried everything I could think of the help with the adjusting of sound of the headphones and I cannot get them to be loud enough. I also do not think they block out the sound well enough and I can still hear things.
