I suffered from severe hip pain for more than 2 years. Fears was growing that the matter get worse and worse so I started with glucosamine@ chondroitin - without belief in improvement. With time I added MSM to diet. The pain dimnished and the mobility of hip improved after a few months. I decided not to stop supplementation glucosamine@chondroitine +MSM. Source Naturals is one of my favourite brands.

It does not work any wonders, you don't grow new cartilage of course, but if you take them long enough it seems to relieve the joints pain. Or I might be imagining it. I tried this and another brand (slightly cheaper), did not really see any difference.

Though cartilage doesn't generally regrow and the physiotherapy specialists say they “don't believe in food additives”, this combo is what even they do find advisable and beneficial. Though the jar advises to take a couple a day, three or four really are the lowest meaningful dose. Also taking the lot once a day's inferior to splitting the intake to at least two halves in the morning and in the evening. These pills are quite large and easily split if one decides to take, e.g., one and a half twice a day.

I have been taking this supplement for 20+ years. I started taking it as a preventative measure. I did not have any joint issues when I started taking it. I don't have any issues now, but feel it is because I am faithfully taking this. I feel that it is a good quality product, but the only way I would know if it is working or not would be to stop taking it. I take 1 pill twice a day.

Source Naturals Glucosamine Chondroitin, Extra Strength, is great because it only requires you to take 2 pills daily unlike some others that are 3 or 4. My chiro recommended this supplement 25 years ago especially for those of us that want to keep a strong back and joints.
