I have been taking SAMe for a little while now and I have found it to help a lot with my mood in terms of anxiety and depression like symptoms. I tend towards buying Source Naturals products because their ingredient's list tends to be simpler than the other name brands out there and I imagine their quality and benefits to be higher. The size was smaller than other brands I've tried, while taste and packaging was on par. I do wish it was cheaper, and it has been out of stock as well.

My mother's dog used this supplement for some months to help with the liver. It was great for her.

I like the fact that this product is cleaner with regard to the additional listings. Folks need to see what else comes with that capsule, tablet, or soft gel..you take something that you feel you need on a daily bases but fail to read what else comes with it..it does add up. this SAMe from source Naturals has less of what we don't need along with the SAMe that we do need. I'm not sure if it's placebo or better training techniques, but after taking this for some months now, my mood seems a lot more even and my knees haven't been aching as they used to. I take 1 tablet twice a day. It says to take it without food, though I still forget to take it before my meals. The GNC version, iirc, says to take with food.

i have been using sam-e by source naturals for at least 7 years. it has really helped my depression in the 400mg dosage. it used to be very reasonable in cost but has recently gone up almost $10 for the same box with no explanation. it is more than $30 a box. still, if one is dependent on it for daily functioning, there is not much one can do. if you are dealing with depression, this supplement can definitely help you.

I have previously had great results taking Samyr (SAM-e sold in Italian pharmacies). With Source Naturals' SAM-e, I noticed only a slight change of mood and only for a few days. A couple of times I woke up feeling nauseous after having taken this product earlier in the day. I took 800 mg a day, and I took two tablets at once. Perhaps it is better to take 1 tablet four times a day.

I noticed they have some questionable ingredients, namely, modified cellulose gum and hydropropyl mehylcellulose phthalate. I have heard very bad things about phthalates and have been trying to avoid them. I tried to contact the company and they gave me an email to which there has been no response.
