South Shore Summer Breeze Twin Captain's Bed Frame Only in Antique Blue Finish

I read the reviews and had reservations because they all talked about this bed being for children. I was afraid it wouldn't hold me, because I am a large grandma. This bed is so sturdy, well made and most of all it holds me great. I would recommend this for the young and OLD!

We bought this for my 3 year old. We needed the space underneath because he and his sister share a room for now. This is a perfect bed for their room and he is proud to sleep in his big boy bed. I actually put it together myself and didn't have any trouble. Took a couple hours but was worth it. Great bed worth the cost and he can grow with it at least until adolescence.

Handsome blue! Sturdy, easy setup. We wish there were more furniture options in this line and color. This is the second child's room we have bought South Shore for. Handsome furniture made w kids in mind for an appropriate price. I wanted to stay on the lower end of cost so I wouldn't get too upset when they do what kids do. Wonderful experience with customer service. One drawer had a paint scratch about 2 inches long. It was a hassle free phone call to get a new one shipped out. We will be looking to buy more from South Shore soon!

I love the color - goes with the rest of my furniture. Drawers are convenient for extra space but can"t open the third drawer because of my end table - good place to hide things precious that you don't use often. Very comfy with the mattress I also got through Walmart. Very happy. The only downside is I keep walking into the bed because it comes to the floor, I'm sur I'll get used to it.

The bed seems very sturdy. It took about 2 hours for 2 of us to set up. All parts were included but some not clearly marked. One of the drawers will need a little tweaking to close squarely against the frame. Overall it looks very nice and will probably last for many years.

Love the bed and bookcase headboard combo. The drawer storage underneath was important for us as our girl is in a small room. She has slept well from the first night and just loves her new setup. My husband noticed a strong wood smell but I didn't. FYI our local store assembled for free. I found this out by chance so it's a good thing to check into as I would still be weeping on the floor surrounded by wood and screws if I had to do it myself! It all fit in our stow and go seating Caravan on one trip.

My husband and I bought this bed with the headboard for our 3 year-old as he was too tall for his toddler bed. We love that we can store toys and clothes in the three drawers and that it's not too tall off the ground so he can get in it. What we really liked about this bed versus others is that this bed does not have slats. Instead there are two long boards about 1/2 inch thick that are placed on top of the three drawers on the bed frame itself. This is really nice because he is a jumper and he's not going to hit the bed wrong and break a slat. We also like this bead because it has a 5 year warranty. The biggest problem for us was the set up of the drawers. The tracks are plastic and they require a Robertson screw driver, which we didn't have. Because the tracks were plastic and you had to screw them into the bed, it made it hard for us to get the screw perfectly flat to the track which made it hard for the drawers to close. Also, it took me three hours to put the hole thing together, and I am pretty quick at assembling furniture. Even though the tracks were a pain, and it took three hours to assemble, we are still very pleased with this product and the headboard. The headboard it self took me 30 minutes to put together and I didn't have to screw it in to the bed because it's against the wall. It doesn't move or shake when my son jumps on the bed either which is awesome. This makes moving bed furniture to a new home or apt easy!

This product was fairly easy to put together and the platform itself was decent quality. The drawers were disappointing. They could have been deeper as they only go into the bed about halfway. The sliders are made of cheap plastic and the drawers don't slide open as easily as I would like.

Fixed it on the day it got shipped and total disappointment. A. The Fixing design is so cheep its not able to hold the bed together. B. After fixing it keeps falling apart and because of that the draws dont close completely. C. The draw's are very small not even 1/4 of the bed size , and also just held by a play board below. D. Since the sides don't sit properly the draw's don't close completely. See the pictures attached.

When my purchase arrived at my home,and I was getting my pieces out,I had noticed there was a whole about the size of my fist in the main board that goes to the bed. There were also some screws that were missing that I had to go to a hardware store to pick those up. The set up was difficult as well took 2 and a half hours to put together. Would not recommend purchase to be sent to your home,have extra screws handy and have a professional put the item together for you.
