Southwire 40126N NCV Non-Contact Dual Range Pen Type Detector with Flashlight, 24-600V AC

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is awesome! The flash light is super bright. The NCV is very responsive. It works good on 220 and 110v. on 12v it doesn't work as good but still sometimes works. And it's waterproof, I've dropped it in water 5 times now and it still works like a charm. I really like that it not only turns red when it detects a hot wire, but it also beeps.

I could immediately feel the difference by just holding it before I got to use it. The LED lights are VERY bright. My only problem, and I have this same problem with my cable tester, is that the power button gets pressed while in my tool bag and it ends up killing the battery. so a switch button maybe would have been better. overall I would recommend this product.

I do a lot of troubleshooting on 24 volt circuits and it really makes my job easier. I also like the flashlight feature you added to this device. Keep up the good work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit has a nice feel to it and it is easy to drip. The built in lights are a great feature. It has a low power LED light on the front and a pretty powerful LED flashlight on the back. Hopefully the two AAA batteries hold last. From time to time, I do run into 12V (sometimes I do work on boats). Now instead of grabbing my multimeter, I just use this tester. The tester is waterproof and pretty rugged. It already survived an 8 foot drop from my ladder. This has replaced my Klein as my go to tester.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this voltage detector for a couple of weeks now, I got it mainly for the low voltage feature. I have used it to troubleshoot doorbell issues and I used it to detect low voltage on my heating system with the thermostat and with the relays on the electric heat. I could use the low voltage on the relays and switch it to the 100-600 volt mode to check the wiring to the heating elements, what a great product. With the bright LED'S and loud beeper makes this product a great troubleshooting tool, also the bright LED flashlight is a great needed feature. I would very much recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far this is my favorite one so far. It has a bright very bright flashlight, no beep mode, changes color. I was also able to use this on 120v,277,480 worked like a charm. The one thing that could be fixed is the flashlight turning off when tester is off to save battery life. I was also able to drop this from 6 feet and nothing broke. I love this NCV I would tell my friends and coworkers about this pro. Southwire did great with this; it lived up to it's Pro name. Keep up the work!!!!! By the way to test it out I ran it under water for 2secs waited about 20 mins and it still worked. Now saying that don't go out and do that please, I was just testing it out to

Putting batteries in was quite a struggle. Turns out it doesn't beep at all (yes, I'm turning it on properly). It also don't work with tamper proof outlets.

This unit has never beeped. Can't find anything in the sparse paperwork.

This product is expensive and does not work properly, it is not reliable and I do not recommend it, because detect voltage 12 inche away , Hot-Skin voltage
