Yes you have to charge it. If you shower twice a day, once every 5 days. You shower once a day, about every 8-10 days. I've had it for a month now and I love it. The brush doesn't need to spin to take all the oil skin dirt out and exfoliate. Great for sensitive skin, I'm super sensitive. Charging station is pretty easy to use. Cleans deeply in your pores.

Why would you spend hundreds on a Clarisonic when this is the same for $40? I love this thing! I use it once a week to exfoliate my face and my skin has never been smoother. I can’t recommend this enough. Don’t buy an expensive one this is just as good!

A must have in my routine

Brittany22 October 22, 2025

I'm usually not big on using facial cleansing devices because most of them cause more harm than good, but I finally found the perfect one! Nova is waterproof and antimicrobial, which means it guards against 99.9% of odor causing bacteria. It doesn't spin its powered by sonic technology for a gentler and deeper cleanse. I love how clean it leaves my skin and pores without causing any irritation and that I can use it in the shower. Nova has made double cleansing so easy and leaves my skin looking its absolute best. The best part about Nova is how effective it is at a very affordable price! I highly recommend checking it out!

GREAT FOR ACNE SUFFERERS! And wrinkles.

Kevin November 3, 2025

This brush really helps keep acne away. Make sure you're cleaning your brush with salicylic acid face wash every now and then to keep it fresh, and clean gently under the brush head. I remove the gasket and spray a tiny bit of hydrogen peroxide and use a toothbrush to clean under the head. Make sure to shake out the brush and let it dry out. I find it dries better without the cover on. I use this on my face almost nightly along with retin-a at night, and vitamin C and sunscreen in the morning. I'm 47 and get cystic acne. This routine really helps (along with benzoyl peroxide topped with 2.5% Hydrocortisone ointment at night for incoming cysts.) This brush is a vital part of what keeps my skin clear. And I don't really have wrinkles, either. I like this brush better than the $200 clarisonic I had back in the day. I use it in the shower at night with the equate brand face wash that's comparable to cetaphil (it's actually better!) Also, I avoid eating gelatin, algae products, and excessive amounts of b vitamins, and avoid using essential oils, and, with this brush, I'm finally clear! I only break out now when I get a cold or if I accidentally get toothpaste on my face or perfume or something.

Clarisonic's twin sister!

denise September 13, 2020

OM! If you are worried about what to do now that Clarisonic is no more...dont be!! This product is AH-MAZ-ING!! I'm not one to write reviews, but in this case I had to. A few of the other reviews had a defective product sent out, but dont let that scare you...the Nova works great, is a solid

My 13yr old daughter loves her new glow.

Mirabelle May 8, 2020

I bought this for my 13yr old daughter because she was starting to break out a lot on her forehead. Just a few days into using this facial spin brush, and you can see the difference. She has much fewer breakouts and she loves the feel of her glowing face. She feels so special with the soft touch of this spin brush. I give it two thumbs up.

Poor Product Quality For Charging

Sheri December 28, 2025

The unit charging is fickle and for me it stopped charging within 3 days. Out of the box it indicated it was charged. Next morning it was dead. Took 24 hours to charge to use for the first time. I loved the result. Day 2 worked. Day 3 worked. Day 4 no charge annex without a charge you can't use it. The lights flash as if it is charging but nope. I allowed 2 days but no luck. very disappointed in the reliability. I would not recommend due to it cannot be used without a charge and charging is finicky.

Set brush up for initial 24 hr charge. At the 24 hr mark, I tried to use it and it responded exactly as the instructions say it does WHEN IT REQUIRES A CHARGE. Therefore it’s going back. Will try another one before spending a lot more money to get a Clarisonic to replace my Clarisonic (which I loved) that stopped working after more than 12 years. Very disappointed this one was defective!

Poor functioning

Tallulah January 17, 2024

I was looking forward to receiving this. I've had two of these in my adult life and each lasted approximately 15 years. When the last one failed to charge after 15 years, I started looking for another one. Unfortunately, the last two brands were the same brand, and I wasn't able to find that particular model.so I bought this one. The nova. I read the directions and I immediately plugged it into charge. It charged in about 10 hours. I looked forward to using it that night and the first thing I noticed is that the brush didn't spin. I reread the directions and all about this little machine, and there was nothing that indicated that the head did not spin. which was something that I assumed every facial cleansing apparatus would automatically have. This does not. Plus when using it, it turns on and off intermittently. Which is almost shocking when it does happen. I can't say anything good about this. You can't even find brush refills. Am so tired of contacting companies that have inferior products and that they are paying others to write good reviews, because returning an item can be at best challenging. I did return this product like so many others are just a scam. They know this doesn't work and doesn't have a rotating brush and doesn't have a flow of smooth operation. It's just junk. Just a personal tip: start returning inferior products. Start writing reviews. Eventually, if everyone does this we will all benefit.
