There isn't a way to completely separate it to make sure it stays clean and dry which I do not care for. For safety reasons I'll have to clean it in sanitizer often. My kids had thrown it outside and down the stairs and it has held up well and hasn't come apart.

It's a cute toy. It just looks cheaply made, and the material it's made out of feels cheap.

While we haven't had any issues with the ball, the ball does seem lightweight and something that would be easily broken if tossed the wrong way. I had my two kids ages 1.5 and 7 test this out in the bath for me. They did enjoy the water pouring out, but the water all seemed to come out the same no matter which end you used to pour. I wasn't overly impressed, but they had fun with it so that's worth something to me.
