Special Kitty Clumping Clay Cat Litter, Fresh Scent, 45 lbs Box, 1 Count

I have been using this for years and last 3 boxes I have gotten dust everywhere. Before it was small amounts of dust which was ok and now even when I scoop its huge cloud of dust every single time. So much that my hands get dusty after I’m finished. Will be switching to another brand.

I use to like this litter until about the last 6 months or so. It was always a little dusty. Now it’s completely unbearable to scoop. The dust is horrible!! It seems to get worse with each box purchased. Chokes me as I scoop… I now half to wear a mask to scoop the box. And when I do scoop…every wall and piece of furniture nearby is cover in dust. See attached video for proof of that. The cats track it everywhere! And just to ad insult to injury… Walmarts boasts right on the package that the litter is 99% dust free. LOL That is a down right lie and should be removed from the carton before someone with asthma or another lung issue gets sick or worse!!

I have never been so disappointed by using any of the unbranded products through Walmarts I use Great value everything because to me it's the same I've been using special kitty cat litter for years And for the last four boxes I had thought two of the boxes were just a end of the barrel of the cat litter cuz it was so powdery and it barely clumped The third box should have learned three strikes in your out nope I went for a fourth time and so much dust that my mask turned gray I can only imagine what my cat's lungs look like right now and now I know why she's been coughing. it's so wrong to raise the prices and not get your money worth. so disappointed in what this world has become.

Bought this litter for years and loved it. They must’ve changed formulas recently. Suddenly the amount of DUST is absolutely ridiculous! I feel like I’m at a construction site every day. It makes the surrounding areas of my house really dirty on a daily basis. It also irritates my eyes, etc. I’m all about pinching pennies but in this case I’ll gladly pay the extra $5 to switch to Arm and Hammer.

New formula is horrible! You have lost another long time %26 faithful customer! Returning unopened box for a refund. I use a Levoit air purifier next to litter box and the filter is full of the dust and can't control pet dander %26 smell because it's been over taken with the dust by this new formula! My furniture, floors,curtains and lamp shades are covered from the dust this new 45 lb box formula! Hate to think what it's doing to my kitties! The price increase must of been justify due to volume increase??? Greed ultimately will cost you on this one, whoever thought of making a cheaper formula %26 increasing the price should've seen this coming!

Why, oh why did Walmart mess up a good thing? I used Special Kitty scoop litter for years and it was the absolute BEST litter on the market for the price. It USED TO BE top notch for odor control, clumping ability, minimal dust and all at a great price. Now it is absolutely non-usable. This new formula is EXTREMELY DUSTY and I'm not picky about dust but this stuff is AWFUL! It no longer clumps like it used to and the texture is like playground pea gravel compared to the old formula that had a uniform texture and was not dusty at all. I don't know why they changed it but it is no longer a litter that I would recommend to anyone. Someone at the Walmart decision making level should have heeded the old adage "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"! Please bring back the old formula Special Kitty litter because this stuff is awful and I can't buy it anymore.

This used to be really great but when they went to the 45 lb box in 2026 the quality went extremely downhill. The last two boxes I've gotten have been nothing but a Dusty mess. it will not clump anymore. there are better options for a similar price with a lot less mess

This litter is absolutely terrible. I've been using the 40 lb box for several years and I really liked it but ever since they changed to this new 45 lb box it sucks. I actually ordered 2 of the 40 lb boxes on my last order and received 2 of the 45s instead unfortunately. It's VERY dusty!! Don't buy it fellow cats lovers!! Now I have to switch to a much more expensive brand. Thanks Walmart... This product is horrible.

this is just a box full of rocks. the blue crystals are missing. there is much dust that both me and the cat sneezes. there is no scent to cover up odors. I am very disappointed in this 45 lb. box. I won't be purchasing this product again. shame on you for sending me this box of rocks that doesn't work.

I have happily used this litter for years, but now I am being forced to change. They have changed the litter so it now resembles the non-clumping kind. The dust is absolutely horrible! Please wear a mask when scooping because inhaling that amount of dust is not healthy. I can only image how much dust my cats are breathing in as well. When I first noticed the change, I thought someone might have made a mistake in the packaging department, so I continued to use it, but the quality has not improved. I am changing today. Walmart, you should be ashamed for selling such an inferior product!
