It works. The cat uses it. I scoop it. I still don’t know how it gets in every room No smell… until there is one. Then it becomes a community issue. Very easy to pour. I have not personally used it like the cat, so I can’t fully endorse the experience. That said, they keep going back, so it’s either excellent or we’re all trapped.

I ordered this at the request of someone who brought in a pregnant stray cat to foster. The mama has had her kittens, and this is the litter that the foster asked for. She has fostered before, and prefers this litter over most others. When the kittens are old enough, Mama will be spayed, and the kittens will be adopted out through a rescue, spayed or neutered and vaccinated. This will be the litter they'll use when they start to figure out the litter box. Please support spay and neuter in your community!

I have used this product for ~2 years. Could not order 14lb container (not in stock or stopped making 14 lb). 20lb container was very dusty. I order fragrance free and container was labeled fragrance free. It was not fragrance free. Major smelly. I would not recommend this product. Manufacturing has made major changes.

I have used the special kitty odor control clumping cat litter for a very long time with no issues. The last few times I have purchased this item there has been a lot of dust when pouring into the litter box. at first I thought I was pouring it into fast, the second time I poured it in very slowly but it's still produced a lot of dust. I don't know what has been changed but I'm not very pleased with said changes.

Item says 99.9% dust free which is completely untrue. Clouds of dust fly into the air when pouring the litter in the tray and when scooping. False advertising but otherwise value for the money is good.

I have been purchasing this litter for years, it has been a very good unscented litter. The litter has changed, it's very dusty,has a strange odor,and feels like it is concrete mix or crushed concrete blocks. I prefer not to breathe the dust from this litter and worry about my cats breathing it and ingesting it when grooming. Will not purchase again.

This is NOT the same litter that they were selling in the 14lb jug. After they stopped selling the 14lb and came out with this 20lb jug, the litter completely changed.. now its AWFUL, it doesnt clump anymore its DUSTY AS HECK. DUST EVERYWHERE. its like the cheapest tidy cats litter now. This is not the litter I used to get from special kitty. THEY DOWNGRADED IT.

Your new special kitty formula is really horrid! It is not the same formula that was in your 14 pound containers. I ordered 5 of the 14 lb but you shipped 4 of the 5 as 20 pounds. I used one (sorry to say) but you’re getting the other 3 back. Atrocious. The dust is horrid and it is a sticky mess. After years of using Special Kitty, I am moving on.

No longer 99% DUST FREE. I have bought this brand of litter for a couple of years now. These last two 20 pound containers I bought have been a TOTAL DUST STORM. I washed out the litter box and when I refilled it the dust was overwhelming. Everytime my cat has used the litter box I see a small cloud of dust. I seldom saw dust before. She has asthma and the dust has caused her to have an asthma attack. I will be looking to purchase another brand of litter. The quality of this product has seemed to go down hill. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT based on recent usage.

The litter used to smell nice, clump easily, had low dust, and controlled odor. What happened?? The litter does not clump, smells awful. is very dusty, and does not control odor. The urine turns the litter to a smelly mucky mess which sticks to the bottom of the litter box. The older purchased litter was much better. The odor is the worst.
