Special Kitty Gourmet Formula Dry Cat Food, 35 lb

Always out of stock at the first of the month but I eventually find it and buy a bag for three cats. I feed them canned food when they wake up, and they have this dried food to nibble on during the rest of the time. They like it! You can see from the pic of George that he's not starving on it... :)

Cats hate the "new and improved " formula. This flavor used to be their favorite now has different shape, texture and color. They didn't like the brown or blue bag varieties before so going to have to find another brand. It's not just one cat, have about a dozen cats on 5 acre property and none of them like it.. peacocks and chickens aren't even trying to sneak into feeding areas and get it.

This is the new and improved version well my cats dont like it at all!! The color is gone and the flavors are gone, it dosent smell like anything anymore. My cats have practically been starving themselves. I've been buying sp kitty for 20yrs this stuff is horrible!! Now off to find another cat food.

I don't know what in the world they changed the formula for, but the all brown pieces formula now is being left in the dishes. We live on a farm and have many feral cats running around (like almost 50). They rely on food to sustain themselves because honestly they are depleting our mice and rats that normal farms have. I'm not talking hobby farm, I'm talking an active, this is our living kind of farm. People drop off cats here “because they need my unwanted cat”. I refuse to let them go hungry. So this is disturbing when they look at you with those eyes and say can't you feed us something else than this crap. The old formula (green, reddish and brown pieces) they ate. My goodness, the skunks and the possums aren't even coming to finish what the cats don't. That's saying something right there.

I have ordered special Kitty for years my cats love it now I got my package today and the pieces used to have different colors for the different flavors now they're all one color cardboard color I put it down and none of my 12 cats inside would eat it not one I put some outside the outside kitties did not eat it I am so disappointed with Walmart if you're going to change a product you need to let your people know that by these products cuz if I'd have seen the picture of that I would not have bought it very disappointed I had to cook for my cats because I didn't have any more food to give them this was a last minute quick thing because I had to wait till Wednesday to get anything else I needed so we're going to be without food here for a few days I'm curious to see if the possums will eat it extremely unhappy and disappointed. I have put two pictures there one would it used to look like and what would it looks like now

The new bag is horrible, the food looks too different. The cats will not eat it. You all changed twice within a few months. The bag design is a joke. Go back to paper bags and the original colorful formula. It was like Deli Cat now it's like generic nothing cat food. Apparently the taste is different too because they will not eat it. Stop trying to improve because you are making it worse. Photos include the old bag pic for reference and the new food in a bowl.

Poor quality unappetizing my cats ignored it completely. They walked away from the plate, so this will not be part of our menu. It's cheap food. . This is the first time I bought it, but it was a mistake. I do not recommend this cat food. My cats wouldn't eat it. Stick to good quality kibble. For better health and nutrition.

Walmart has changed manufacturers and my cats will not eat this “new formula.” Not even the wild animals or feral cats will eat it. It's a shame because this is sold for a good price. Hopefully Walmart will rethink this formula. Until then, I'll have to buy something else.

first of all the bag i recieved is the discontinued formula not the new one that actually has alot better ingredients and no stupid dyes in it that is being advertised on the walmart website!! Not cool dont advertise the new one if thats not what you have in stock yet, just the fact that the old formula one is no longer bening produced then it should be taken off the shelf, ive worked in retail before and anything that gets discontinued gets marked down and if so long passes and there is still product then it gets destroyed not kept on the shelf sold for the same price!! i want the new formula one as it actually doesnt have horrible ingredients in it like this dyed one does, it actually has salmon meal and people think when something says chicken meal that its not meat when it is, its actually a good ingredient in pet food its better than just chicken or just salmon, the meals are better quality even, its by product that is no good, but either way your advertising something thats not even on the shelf or the correct product, isnt that along the lines of false advertisement?? Get this garbage discontinued food off your shelf and put the better improved one out, i want the new version of it. i do not feed my pets anything with dyes in it, dont even understand why companies put dyes in pet foods, pets dont give a crap what color their food is and most owners veer away from the dyed stuff these days!! very disappointed!!

DO NOT FEED TO YOUR CAT!! I have 14 and the new formula made them all throw up!! From clear frothy, bile and blood. I'm very upset. Do you know how serious that is?? Even my kitties who live in cages were throwing up!! SHAME ON YOU WALMART DO BETTER!!! I've bought this food for years with no issues and now it's all round one color.
