This litter is perfect if you have kittens as it doesn't clump. it's also good if you have an injured cat or a cat with diarrhea who can't clean itself properly. The granules won't get stuck like clumping litter. it is very dusty, too dusty if you have an asthmatic cat, or you are yourself, have allergies or your cat is very sensitive, or has allergies or a sick cat that is prone to eye boogers and such. I only use this litter as a backup for when we sometimes take in the occasional hurt or sick stray cat. we don't use our good cat litter for them. the price point is great. oh, also it's not great if you're cat is diabetic as it doesn't clump and diabetic cat pee is very sticky. either way, it's good litter for practical use. I just don't use it often for my indoor cats.
we have six cats and go through a LOT of cat litter at our house, its great to be able to place an order and have it delivered to our doorstep as soon as we need it, no fuss no muss no worry. the product itself is both great quality and less expensive than other stores.
I've been using the 7lb bags for about 6 years because they're convenient to handle and were cheaper but now it's basically 10$ for 28lbs ($2.38 x 4) while this identical litter is 7$ for 25lbs so I'm giving up the convenient portion size for this litter to save money, the litter is identical so, and plain clay has worked for my cat for over 6 years I'm never changing it
Great value for this traditional style litter. The modern clumping litters have to have some sort of usually 'proprietary' chemical or oil based treatment to keep dust down since clumping litter has smaller particles. My cats who are semi-ferals that I am encouraging to spend as much time as possible indoors, seem to prefer the finer clumping blends, but to my relief will use this non-clumping Special Kitty variety if needed. At this point I'm catering to their preferences.
Absorbs odors better and for longer than the leading brands, even the scented ones. Keeps paws clean and cat waste from making your house smell. No stinking fumes. The price is great and I like the larger clay, less dust than the smaller grains. Perfect size bag for one litter box and lasts for a 2 weeks if scooped a couple of times a day.
This is the cheapest cat litter you can get, but with multiple cats needing an affordable option is a must. I don't need anything fancy, just functional. And it gets the job done. My only complaint is that is has doubled in price over the last few years. The bag hasn't gotten any bigger, and the quality isn't improving, just sad to see all the price gouging become the norm since Covid. Now we have a new level of normal that I will never accept.
Honestly, this was my first time buying this kind of non clumping litter and I don't even know why I did it. I'm not sure how to use it if it doesn't clump, my litter boxes were a big mess and I ended up throwing away almost a whole bag because it was already opened and I returned the other two. I guess it was my fault for not knowing how to use it. So buy at your own risk.
I got this because they had no Kitty Diggins 7%23. It's better than the clumping stuff. Only 1 kittie and he tracked the stuff all over the house and flung it all over the box.area. The 25%23 bag is described as 20%23 and way to heavy for me to deal with.
Really messed up and bought this. I thought I read it better but I didn't so thats my fault. This is Non Clumping. I prefer clumping no matter what brand I get. So I bought this by mistake. Two cats. i bought clumoing and added ti this to help a bit. Won't buy again.
I realize this is clay litter but it has zero odor control. It doesn't actually absorb the urine, just lets it pass through and pool on the bottom so the first time your cat uses it, it will smell strongly of urine. And since it doesn't clump there's no way to remove it. The one thing this product works well for is absorbing an oily spill on the driveway or in the garage
