Special Kitty Scoopable Tight Clumping Cat Litter, Fresh Scent, 40 lb

I like the fact that Special Kitty litter comes in 40 and 45 lb cases because my litter box takes about 1 full case when it comes to filling it up and I like to have about 3 inch depth of litter for my 😸. The price is affordable which is a plus and the scent isn't over bearing, I know other customers complained about the dust and yes it is dusty but I still give it 5 stars cause you can't beat the price,quality and quantity.

This is cheaper per pound than the rest. We have 4 cats and through the years we have scooped daily but now we use the litter robot. This works great in that as well. It isn't a set and forget for a few days type of kitty litter but it works great with our 4 cats.

I purchased this cat litter for the last 8 to 10 years i purchased this cat litter for the last 8 to 10 years. It worked well, even when we had multiple cats. However, in 2026 they have had to change the formula because now it's terrible. It does not clump anymore. It is extremely dusty now. My cat refuses to use his litter box because it turns into a wet grainy gravel, that smells horrible. I see lots of people having the same issue. I called the number on the box and reported batch 144 as being bad. You should do the same. We all deserve refunds. This batch should be recalled.

This works as well as the more expensive brand and now that things are getting more expensive I have had to make less expensive choices when shoppinf for my family. The only thing I have found with this product is that is does cause a little more dust in the air.

I originally started using this about 10 years ago because it claimed to be low dust. Extremely important to me and my cat. I have COPD and other issues. However I have noticed lately that the dust that blows up when I pour in the litter is awful. I pour it slow and only about 2 inches above so it shouldn't billow up with dust

This litter was already becoming an inferior product but since you're selling it in 45 lb boxes, it is absolutely horrible. The litter itself is heavy before it's even used. Afterwards it's like cement. Barely clumps and sticks to bottom of litter box and becomes like a slab of concrete. I had to discard a litter box because it was impossible to remove the contents without a jackhammer. It contains little black gritty pieces of some additive. I'm tired of paying more money for all of the inferior products out there and in most cases getting less of the amount. Enough is enough. This is a matter of greed and nothing else. Companies now believe the public will buy whatever they put out there and not complain. Not so.

This cat litter used to be the best and has now become the worst. It is false advertising because it no longer clumps. It's super dusty and makes a huge mess. So much waste trying to scoop out the litter. They've lost my business. I'll pay extra for Tidy Cat so I'll be getting what I pay for.

When I first started using it ,the dust was low and clumps stayed together when cats where using box and when scooping. Then it went to 45 lbs. and everything changed. Dust got terrible,as did the clumping aspect. It was a good value at the start but no more.

So what is going on with this litter that was once the best on the market is now so dusty I can't go to sleep because I cough a lot when I go to bed which I didn't use to do until this litter changed. Cleaning my litter box is the last thing I do before bed. Oh jeez is it bad. I know it's horrible on my kitties who are IN the box. Walmart produces this litter, I looked it up. And with all the negative reviews I know they aren't making any money on this litter now. What's up Walmart... why change something that was awesome for years? I pray nobody (kitties included) gets sick from the dust in a box they call cat litter.

I bought several of these every month for a while, then I noticed it wasn't clumping. Then I realized it wasn't even lasting a few day. The formula had obviously changed. %26 was now unacceptable I took a picture to compare 4 litter boxes of this with 2 litter boxes of another kind. I spent over $100. on this bad litter. It won't happen again! I'm very disappointed %26 upset! Jody Holden
