Speck Presidio Exotech Series Case with Grips for Google Pixel 5 - Black

It was time to replace my old case, and I found this one on sale. It's perfect. Just what I wanted. Plus I really like the texture - makes it a lot easier to hang onto to my phone (my last case was completely smooth)

Had this case for my LG G7 thinQ and absolutely loved it. It protected my phone and never had an issue if I dropped my phone. Therefore when I purchased my new phone recently knew exactly what case I wanted for it. Great product and would highly recommend it.

Got the Presidio ExoTech case for my new Pixel 5 phone. Really like it. I had the same kind of case for my Pixel 3XL, which saved my phone several times. I liked the rigged grip that discouraged it from sliding off tables or from your hand. Only snag was putting it into a pocket, which with the smaller Pixel 5 is a non-issue. Only other thing is that if you use wireless charging, a low power charger may have issues with the distance this case puts between charger and phone. Yeah, first world problems. I'd recommend this case to anyone who frequently finds their phone slipping out of their hand or being knocked off tables.

I have used various versions of the Predisio ExoTech with Grips for years. They are an excellent case and have protected my phone (which get's banged around pretty frequently). I highly encourage you to get the version with Grips, as these cases are a bit slick without the grips.

I had a Speck case for my old LG G4 that was a hard shell with gripper ribs. That one lasted for 5 years. Replaced the phone so wanted another Speck case. This is the one that fits the phone I have but it isn't hard like the other one was. It's fine but was disappointed when I saw they had changed.

The case is slim and feels good in the hand. I have no doubt the protection will stand up to Speck standards. My issue with this case, and I returned it because of this one shortfall. The outer material is very slick and slippery. There is no slight texture on the case the rubber/TPU is very, very slick. This appears to be more of a nature of the material and not because the case is new and might wear off. If Speck could get the outer material to be less slick it would be perfect

I don't like this phone case as much as similar Speck cases I've used in the past. It seems less "grippy" than the case I had for my previous phone and the on/off buttons and volume buttons are very hard instead of feeling more "rubbery" and are more difficult to press. I preferred the previous Speck case designs (I've had 4 cases on prevous android phones) to this Pixel 5 case.

I used Speck's grip case on my Pixel 3a XL pixel phone and loved it. I'm a quadriplegic with very limited use of my hands so grip is very important for me. The old case had softer ridges for superior grip. The new case bought for my Pixel 5 has one material for the whole case and doesn't grip as well and also slides easier on hard surfaces. I was disappointed when I received the new case and the grip feature that I liked most was no longer in the design.

I've bought Speck previously and loved the rubber grips. These grips are no longer rubber, so I will be returning it and finding a new brand.

I was disappointed to see and feel the lack of grippiness on this case. In previous iterations that I've owned it had a separate kind of rubber inlaid into the case which made it extremely grippy. But this new case is all a single material with no inlays, which makes it far more slippery.
